On April 6, 1994, the plane that was carrying the rwandan president was shot down by an unidentified person. Then killings began the next day. If people watched one another and the certain way they acted, people may be able to stop them before they start to do things. People don’t need to be suspicious of one another, people just need to pay attention to one another. For an example, there may end up being something wrong or they may be planning something wrong. So the genocide could have been prevented if people tried to understand one another and the way certain people think. They started to appreciate all the components of the population. Men and women went through things like this growing up. One reason was because people didn’t understand them as much as others or they were just looked at differently. These thing happened because we didn’t really pay attention or change it, we went with it. People were discriminated because of this, the fact that we didn’t try to change how people acted and what they said. Also just the fact that nobody really takes the time to understand one another. Some counterclaims that can be made are, that things were happening randomly but for a reason which is understandable. Things happen to people so they feel like other people need to feel their pain too. So in the end people will understand why this event happened but they don’t believe that it should of happened. People end up thinking and believing different things. It depends on what they do with those thoughts and actions. With the Rwandan genocide, they took the thoughts and put them into action.
