Francis Parker had lived in the small town of Lancaster for his whole life which was only six years but seemed like a lifetime to him. Most of Francis’s memories revolved around his family, the Clark family, and the Reed family. All three families have been family friends for as long as they’ve been in the town of Lynchburg. So, Francis spent most of his days with the two sons of the Clark family, Theodore, and Isaac, mainly the elder son Theodore who was the same age as Francis. Wherever Francis and Theodore went tagged along with them the only child of the Reed family – Elizabeth Reed – who was just about a year younger than Francis and Theodore.

Greetings everyone! It has come to my attention that the great religious leader, American prophet, Joseph Smith is dead, being attacked and hung by a drunken mob in Carthage, Illinois. This man died a martyr, widely known for his influential religious preaching in states of New York, Ohio, Missouri and Illinois. Being the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and contributing to the converting of people into Mormonism, he vastly transformed people, turning them into large Mormon communities. Being put in such a position, Smith’s 39-year life has been full of exciting experiences.
This is one of my favorite essays because my sentences were strong and I had an excellent word choice. My introduction was short and to the point but it also kept the reader interested. “John Brown however, felt an urgency and a sense of personal responsibility which made him impatient with political campaigns,” this line is my favorite because I used descriptive and powerful words to describe how John Brown felt.
Jack Elliot Brown seems just to be your average boy but he is so much more than just that. From his adventures of sitting on frogs, fighting beta, setting fire to his drains, and slamming fish to a dock: Jack is anything but average. Going into this project I was very nervous and did not know what to expect but it turned out a lot better than I thought. Jack always sits in the back of english class he is not necessarily shy but just does not put himself out there, but Jack has a pretty eye opening personality. Jack is the youngest in his family, with three older sisters, one of 22 and two sisters of 18. Jack has a mom and dad thought they are divorced so he goes to his dads for a week than his moms house for the next week. He has four dogs and use to have a cat till it passed away just last month. Sadly, this will not be the first time Jack had to go through lost of a love one. As time passed we got to the second day of the week we got talked about all the basics of family and to what we are interested in. One thing that really surprised me about Jack were his many talents that he has: he is on the rowing team, does skiing in the winter, he likes to
My ideal dream career would be to travel the world and capture God in nature. I would love to do something like John Muir’s work and create philosophical/theological statements, printed on my photographic images. Truly, I am emotionally driven, and I try to see the beauty in all that God has created. Therefore, I would love to see my dream come into full fruition and display how I see God’s gifts to us, through pictures. Also, I am very in tune with nature. It allows me to feel closer to God, more grounded and I trust that this is what my true calling is. I believe we are called to communicate with all of God’s people; regardless of their beliefs, and other demographics the world uses to divide people. I am a firm believer, that we are all God’s creations and must communicate in all manner of fashions, whether verbal, non-verbal, written, and/or picture form. Sadly, since God created us to communicate with one another, we have lost sight of how to communicate in a healthy, unified way. Thus, I am to communicate and spread the seeds of God’s radical love for us, trusting that they will not fall on infertile ground. This will entail
So, Robert Wilson thought to himself, she is giving him a ride, isn’t she? Or do you suppose that’s her idea of putting up a good show? How
Attitude is so important. It is probably the most important thing worth talking about in all the self -help material you will come across. Why; because attitude controls your mind which controls everything. It's what makes the difference between a good athlete and a poor one; a successful entrepreneur or a failure; a great artist/musician and a poor one. Hamilton, our author today was no stranger to disability; he was two years old when he contracted a mysterious illness that caused him to stop growing. He was misdiagnosed as having cystic fibrosis and was told by doctors at one point that he had 6 months to live. Diet and exercise cured the problem though Hamilton achieved only a height of 5 feet 2 inches in his life-time. He didn't allow disability to stop him. In 1981 '82 and '83 Scott Hamilton won the gold medal in the World Figure Skating Championships, and won the gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Everyday, human being takes part in actions that are indicative of the past. It is due to evolution and history that humans are the way they are, and act the way they act. In On Human Nature, a novel by Edward O. Wilson, it explores the every day actions of human beings and how they are relative to evolution. Sociobiology, a strong theory that Wilson believed in, is the social behavior that has resulted from evolution and attempts to examine and explain social behavior. This theory means that there is reasoning and a line of history for the reason why we do things. On Human Nature explores human heredity, dilemma, development, and emergence. Other topics include aggression and sex which can be explained by Wilson's theory of sociobiology.
