Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet Falling in love at first sight is certainly a possible situation, but is doubtful that it is true love. There are many relationships that poses different types of love, one type is infatuation love. Infatuated love is an instant connection and is a need for physical attraction and affection. Actual love has to be built and is being able to create a deeper connection with another person. In the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare describes the romance between two teenagers Romeo and Juliet. They are forbidden to see each other because of their families hate towards one another and the banishment Romeo received from Verona. During the balcony scene Juliet explain, “My ears have not yet drunk a hundred words. Of that tongue’s uttering, yet I know the sound.” (2.2 58-59) Juliet is explaining her interactions with Romeo and how they have spoken less than one-hundred words between each other, but those hours of spending time with one another made her truly fall in “love” with Romeo. But Romeo and Juliet don’t know simple facts about one another. They don't even know one another personalities or fears. During their first altercation Romeo explains his feeling towards Juliet “Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.” (1.5 49-50) When he first notices Juliet's he distinctively mistakens real love for Juliet's physical attractions. We also understand his infatuated love due to his intense feeling, along with the immediate switch of loving Rosaline to Juliet. Shakespeare explains their relationships and connections they had, but the connections between the two were false love. They didn’t have the time to get to know and understand each other. There level of physical attraction was a major reason why they stuck together. If it weren’t for that they really wouldn’t have anything in common, besides their families hate towards one another. Romeo and Juliet's immaturity explains their nonsense of their actions. They really would kill themselves because they aren’t allowed to be with each other.. Their need to be with each other cause tremendous pain and deaths with their families. If there are several reasons why your relationship can’t work and there are major obstacles that are blocking you from it, then they should have taken it slow and not rush into it. Romeo could have been patient with dealing with his banishment and also when Juliet's death happened. They were teenagers and didn’t have the patients and maturity. Emotions played a role in Romeo and Juliets death. Because their emotions took over and made them insane when they were forced to be torn apart.
