Robin Williams “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.”(Robin Williams Quote). Spoken by a man whose words and ideas changed the world, by taking comedy and a sense of humor to the next level, and this man was Robin Williams. Robin Williams had a very troubled past, but overcame his difficulties by becoming a successful actor. Robin Williams was a man of humor and inspiring words, he touched people's hearts like no other. Though it may have ended badly for him, we should never forget all the good that he had brought to the people and to the world. When Williams was young, he was bullied badly for being chubby and would often spend much of his time playing alone in his family’s large home to avoid his tormentors (“Biography”). Eventually, he conquered his overweight by joining the wrestling and track team(“Biography”). He later then realised he that he could gain the kids respect by making them laugh from his sense of humor (“Biography”). While Williams was at Juilliard College he met a dancer named Valerie Velardi, then got married and had a son named Zachary (“Biography”). In 1982, marked a downfall in Williams’ personal life as he had an unpleasant problem with alcohol and drugs, specifically cocaine, had a destructive effect with his marriage with Valerie (“Biography”). By 1987 Valerie and Williams got into divorce, then married his son's nanny Marsha Garces in 1989. Then later on, Marsha and Williams had two children named Zelda Rae and Cody Alan (“Biography”). While Robin Williams was attending both Claremont Men’s College he befriended and became roommates with fellow actor Christopher Reeves, then in October 10, 2004 died from causes of drugs and alcohol (“Biography”).
