Would you risk your life for someone else? Even if they did this on purpose. Why would you risk your life for someone if they know there not supposed to be doing whatever they are doing? Many people have been killed saving others. Even when there doing something there not supposed to. People should not have to risk their lives for people like this. People that do crazy things. So paramedics, rangers, and all of that kind of people you should not have to risk your life for someone else.
First of all, why would you risk it for someone? For example, people who Climb Mountains. They know the risk involved climbing a mountain that stands as tall in the air as an airplane flies. Many people have climbed these mountains, and many have died. But, one interesting thing is that most of the people that died were rescuers trying to save other people. These rangers and rescuers should not have to risk their lives for you. Yet they do every day in these mountains.

On the other hand, what if the person has kids, or a family to go home to?
Should you, or would still risk your life for them? Especially like on Mt. Everest. This mountain is the tallest mountain on the planet. Now, who would want to fly in a helicopter to the top of this mountain? There have been people who have made it to the top old, and young. The youngest was a ten-year-old American boy. The oldest was a seventy-three- year old Japanese woman. There have also been a lot of deaths trying to complete this task. On Mt. Everest there have been over 230 deaths. This is a reason why rangers should not have to save you. You know the risk
involved. Finally, if you was a ranger, would you feel that it is your duty to go try to save these people? There was a ranger killed recently at Mt. Rainer National Park. There were two women who had fallen into a crevasse. The ranger risked his life, and he fell 3,700 ft. to his death. This ranger could have got them out by helicopter, but they would have frozen to death. But this man risked it, and he got killed. Rangers and rescuers should not have to risk their life for you. When you climb these mountains you are not just risking it for yourself. You’re risking it for the rangers also. That ranger that died he put it all on the line for that woman. What if this ranger had a family or a baby? You have to think about these things before you climb these mountains. So remember what I said “Think before you do it.”
Everyone has taken risks whether they be big or not, they will lead you down the path you choose in life. In the short stories Beowulf, Black Heart, and The Deep taking risks was a big part in all three. In Beowulf, there is many risks that he took, but the main one was that he risked his life to save the people that he loved. In the second book Black Heart by Mark Brazaitis, the girl risked her life to make friends with something she knew could kill her because she was so lonely. In the final book, The Deep by Anthony Doerr the main character made risks every day because he never knew if he was going to wake up to see the next.
Helen Keller once said “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all”. Chris McCandless believed in this thought. However, Chris’s “daring adventure” also cuased his quick demise. People risk their lives for many reasons. Perhaps a person is suicidal or maybe they are foolish and ill prepared. I believe many people, including Chris McCandless, risk their lives for an adventure because life is short, and why not take risks while a person still can. Or on the contrary, a person could be seeking a thrill, or attempting to test their worth, or simply trying to decide who they really are.
For every year, there will be six mountain climbers who will succumb to the harsh climb of Everest, and that’s about seventeen times the rate of death caused by skiing and snowboarding accidents together all around the world. Mountain climbing, skiing, and snowboarding are all adventurous and hard-to-participate sports. But why are there so many deaths created by mountain climbing? And in all of those deaths there are about fifteen guides, and mountain rangers, most of them died to help the injured climbers. However, there are more than four thousands successful climbs made by varieties of people from young to old. So should people have the right to rescue services when they put themselves at risk? To me, people absolutely do have the right to rescue services when they put themselves at risk because that is what rescue services are for, to help people when they need it. And it also depends on their current situation, which may affect their abilities to make a decision.
If you thought a loved on was in possible danger, would you risk your own safety for theirs, or get help so you could have a better chance?
Superheroes; they save and protect the world’s people. They courageously stand up and battle against evil, anarchy, injustice, crime, and sin. When the world has nothing else to defend itself, they are the ones who are present with a duty to safeguard everyone. The superheroes you may know, such as: Superman, Batman, Iron Man, etc. all have extraordinary superhuman powers which they use to shield those in need. However, anyone can be a superhero. Throughout history, many people have become like superheroes not because of extraordinary powers, but extraordinary courage, bravery, humanity, and love. Those people made a choice to risk everything they had in order to save another human being. Is it the right thing for a person to stand up and do the right thing?
No matter the reason or hardship is, everyone has a drive to survive that comes out during the times life and death is on the line. In literature, stories have plots where this type of scenario comes into play. This is most evident in the novels Night (Wiesel) and Lord of the Flies (Golding) , where the main characters have to go through something they would not normally do, just for the sake of life. Lord of the Flies and Night show how savagery and submission contribute to the ways that people will change and the things that people will do in order to save their life.
Attention & Interest: What if I were to tell you that you have the opportunity to save a person’s life would you take it?
and their life is put in danger, they have the right to fight back to save
Some people will go far lengths in order to survive. In order to survive physical and emotional circumstances, people must have the courage and be willing to take risks. For example, in the movie 'the good lie' many Sudan refugee's lose their homes and their parents due to a terrorist attack. Theo and his siblings walk seven hundred and twenty seven miles to the kakuma refugee camp. During the walk, the lost boys face many dangers. They took risks by drinking urine to stave off dehydration. However while there were many physical risks taken by the lost boys, there were a lot of emotional risks that really helps them survive. For example, when their parents were killed, Theo had to become the new leader to his younger siblings. Moreover, Last
Risks are a part of the human experience. People are used to having risks in their lives, and they usually, and unconsciously, take many risks on a daily basis. However, there are huge risks that may cause anxiety and stress. As a consequence, and between these two extremes life experiences, occur with various amounts of risk. Therefore, by facing and taking these risks they are not to be considered unusual experiences, but rather those involved in such are often time effected in a deep way as a result of what they have endured. Relatively, I can speak from personal experience due to the different types of risks that I have encountered this semester.
To kill or to let die – What would you choose? You are standing on a platform at a train station. An out-of-control train carriage is coming down the track past the platform, there are three workers repairing the same track further down the line. They don’t have time to get out of the way of the carriage, the only way to save them would be to push the very large person next to you down the track, the person’s body will act to halt the train thus killing him but saving the three workers. Both options seem morally wrong then again we only have two choices and in this case I would rather standby than push the large person.
I believe Steve Wilkens statement, “For Rand, life encompasses physical survival as well as social, economic and political interest. However, Christian ethics requires a broader definition of life, one that includes a spiritual dimension.” means, for Rand, life only exist and is meant to exist for this physical earth. There is no higher authority to which man answers to or lives by. We are simply here to exist and stay alive for our own interest. At the time of death, it is just simply the ceasing of our existence. There is no existence outside of death therefore, there is no higher power to answer to. I believe that is why Rand is so convicted that we must live for ourselves and carry out our own interest above all others. Christian life
Life is short, and also very precious to forget so value it to the fullest. Take every opportunity you have that will benefit you and even sometimes others. To me just do what you love no matter what anybody says. Life is about believing yourself if you don’t believe yourself then you will never get anywhere. Take life seriously, don’t mess around because one day it will come back on you and it will tear you apart. This is well illustrated by the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Roger Ebert, by Chris Jones, The Lady with the Dog, by Anton Chekhov, What Is the Value of a Human Life? By Kenneth Feinberg, and lastly but not least, you’ve got to find what you love; Jobs says, by Steve Jobs.
When searching today’s society for those that show courage and nobility like that of Iphigenia, one acknowledges the work of the firefighters and police departments. Every time a person of this profession leaves their station in lieu of a call, they are potentially sacrificing their lives for the lives of others. The many possible things that could happen to one of these workers while on the field could put them in a situation where their safety is questionable. It is understood that this worker must sacrifice his or her life for whatever person that is in need of help.
Is it worth it to hurt people you care about to save the ones you don't.
