Romeo and Juliet is a play written by Shakespeare in the year 1595. This play is about two people who fall in love but can not be together because of their families past. Juliet is from the Capulet household and Romeo is from the Montague household. Romeo is in love with a girl named Rosaline but she does not want to be with him. His cousin Benvolio and friend Mercutio want him to move on, so they drag him to the Capulets party, which they are not allowed but they are invited because the servant can not read. When Romeo sees Juliet from afar he falls in love with her beauty instantly. The rising action is when he spots Juliet and he falls in love with her. The climax has to be when Mercutio is murdered by Tybalt, and then Tybalt is murdered by Romeo and Romeo is banished from Verona. The falling action is when Juliet and Paris are arranged to marry and her family has no clue about her secret marriage. Then she decides to take the potion to fake her death. Then the resolution is when Romeo kills himself because he thinks she is actually dead. Then Juliet wakes up and sees that Romeo is actually dead and then takes the dagger he had with him and stabs herself. A climax could also be since the Montagues and Capulets despise each other.
In my opinion, Romeo and Juliet is a great play, even though it is incredibly overrated and very hard to understand. This is my second time reading Romeo and Juliet, my first time was in English l last year. I did not think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. I thought it was gonna be boring and a bunch of unnecessary details. I do not think I understood the story being told the first time I read this play. I understood bits and pieces but not the play
