Ethics, is a challenging way to resolve a problem. When there is ethics there is a problem to be resolve, whenever we have to make an ethical decision we cannot just resolve the problem right away. There is no really correct way of resolving an ethical problem because the decisions are made based on our beliefs and what we think is the right decision. We have to go with our instinct, but the decisions we make, may not be defended according to ethical principles. The study of ethics is basically, based on knowing and learning how to justify our ethical choice based on ethical laws. Just by studying ethics can be very difficult in making a decision in our personal and professional lives. What most people get confused in, is in defining ethics …show more content…
It bases on the right or wrong from a certain act. Ethics is often described mainly as a set of principles or moral conducts. What ethics does is evaluates what the moral values or culture put together. One of the main things that ethics debate in, is conflict because even if society or culture, states its own opinions about morality it can differentiate from a proper moral conduct. Our conscious plays a significant importance in our decisions making in ethics because it tells us a in a way if the action made is right or wrong; and the decision made with the result the problem gets affects our behaviors. The main point in making in making an ethical decision is to not make a decision with what you agree with nor with what society expects it should be. For most of the time there is going to be difficulties in fighting whenever there is not correct answer because an ethical decision is based on the balance in the interest. Manually ethics improves our think critical and make a decisions based on this, while being able to defend the in a good and rational manner your decision. Ethics in has three kind of branches. Furthermore, society is not a very agent taskmaker when you have to pass a ruling on its moral agent. The system of ethics is indispensable for knowing and learning how to be trustworthy among the people as well as, cooperative and social stability. Additionally, there is a need for moral power and it serves as a moral porter. It basically tells what is important in order to be a moral. The claim based on the individual conflict is done and it is important when acting as the moral judgement because it resolves the problem. Also the system of ethics is to put clarity on the values and there should be five criteria in any ethic system. The first criteria in any ethic system should be the agreement of ethical moral conduct. This means it should have shared values to determine the decision together. Second, it should be fair with the people’s rights and should be based on reason and experience. The third criteria should be that there should not be discrimination and the decision should be made with justice unless there is a moral reason why it should be

Ethics is an important proponent when considering any decision. Knowing the difference between right and wrong is something everyone should know. However, the importance of ethics gets minimized when a decision that seems wrong actually has benefits. In the efforts of improving society, often ethics is violated. Sometimes in order for society to be better off as a whole, there has to be little sacrificing of ethical practices along the way to do so.
Ethics is a doing and learning experience which causes us as humans to keep an open mind to change. Generally, ethics ask us to live mindfully, to think how we act and even how we feel or do things, which can change the outcome. Sometimes we go down certain roads, which may be harder or make things more complicated or complex instead of making an easier option we just take the easier way out, usually the way that calls for
“Ethics”, in general, is nothing but a principle of conduct. Ethics can also be defined as moral philosophy which is used to answer questions related to morality. The word ‘Ethics’ has been derived from the Greek word ‘Ethos’ which simply meant “the state of being” or “to keep ones soul pure”. The sub divisions of ethics are as follows;
What is ethics? Ethics are the philosophical principles of good verses bad moral behavior. It is a guideline to help people make decisions or make a judgment calls. There are two main types of ethical principles that will be discussed in this paper, and how they are applied to the decision making process. They are Deontological and Utilitarian. Deontological ethics are based on the righteousness or wrongness of the action-taking place. It does not base itself on the bad or good consequences that come from the action. Immanuel Kant introduced deontological ethics in the 18th century. Kant believed that every decision or action made by a person had to be evaluated by his or her moral duty. He stated that humanity shouldn’t side on its
Ethics are the principles that shape individual lives in modern society. It is a subjective idea that seems to have a standard in society. Ethics and morals are the major factors that guide individuals to make right and wrong choices. Something that is morally right to one person might be the very opposite of what another person would view as right. There are many factors that can trigger a change in an individual’s view of morality.
Ethics is “a branch of philosophy concerned with the study of questions of right and wrong and how we ought to live” (Banks, 2013). Also it involves making moral judgments about what is right and or wrong, good or bad. In the process of everyday life, moral rules are desirable, not because they express absolute truth, but because they are generally reliable guides for normal circumstances. Ethics or moral conduct, are of major importance in the criminal justice field today. If the police force condoned unethical behavior, there would be very little, if any, justice being served. A system of rules and principles helps to guide in making difficult decisions when moral issues arise. Ethics has been shown to be a central component in decisions involving ethical dilemmas. It is “concerned with standards of conduct and with “how I ought to act”, and standards of conduct may vary among different societies” (Banks, 2013). An ethical dilemma arises only when a decision must be made that involves a conflict at the personal, interpersonal, institutional, or societal level or raises issues of moral character. Richard Hare argues that we initially use an intuitive level of moral thinking when we consider ethical dilemma. There are “six steps in analyzing an ethical dilemma and they would be as follow” (NASW, 2014):
In conclusion, ethics relates to every decision we make whether we know or not. Ruggiero and Lonergan both came up with concepts that can help anyone evaluate a dilemma and come up with not only a decision but the best decision for that particular dilemma. These concepts are used in our personal and professional lives and the decisions we make can often determine the type of individual we are.
Ethics are moral principles that can be used to help guide peoples decisions. We are all different and therefore our beliefs and opinions differ. There are many ethical theories, and according to Panza and Potthast (n.d.) the following are some that are widely used. Virtue ethics is one theory which states that personality is the most important thing. Living an ethical life, acting right, requires that one develops and demonstrates the quality of courage, compassion, wisdom, and temperance. It also requires that greed, jealousy, and selfishness is avoided. Utilitarianism states that the amount of happiness and suffering created by a person’s actions is what matters the most. As a result, acting rightly includes maximizing the amount of happiness and minimizing the amount of suffering around you. At times you may need to break some of the traditional moral rules to achieve such an outcome. Kantianism is another theory which highlights the principles behind actions rather than an actions results. It states that it requires to be motivated by good principles that treats everyone with respect. If you’re motivated by good principles, you overcome your animal instinct and act ethically. Another ethical theory is the Contract theory, which suggest that ethics should be thought of as terms of agreements between people. It suggests that doing the right thing means obeying agreements set by members rather than those of society. For this theory ethics isn’t necessarily about character, consequences, or principles. The last theory I’m going to mention is Care ethics. Care ethics focuses on ethical attention on relationships before other factors. As a result, acting rightly involves building, strengthening, and maintaining strong relationship...
There are two elements in my system that needs to be understood. One is “love” and the other is “self”. Men instinctually know what “love” and “self” mean. While all of us love ourselves and also others, yet we find strife and hatred in the world. The reason is a man loves himself first before others. My ethical system challenges an individual to love others first before himself. When this is done and achieved as indeed it has been achieved by many men and women, there occurs a paradigm shift in the system of human interaction that leads to a better understanding among human beings.
Ethics plays a very important role in one social system and basically on how the people will make their actions or decide on a particular thing on whether it is the right or the wrong thing. Ethical consideration is very important. It helps a person or a group of person understands whether the actions are right or wrong. Ethics is a very critical factor most especially when considering where the ethical standards are to applied. Aside from it, weighing results of actions or decision is also another major concern because of the fact that a person has critically analyze whose side is needed to satisfied. There are instances that moral obligations are also considered, in which moral is defined as a universal accepted personal human behavior that allows a person to decide whether an action or decision is good or bad.
Ethics deals with actions with adequate standard of attitudes, behavior that is pleasing to the people or organizations. Every job has a code of ethical conduct that is supposed to be is followed. It is very necessary to understand that ethical rules must apply and obey with basis of what is right and wrong which is written in the law. That is why there are professions that have organizations or associations which have the method of ethical conducts or standard.
Ethics are moral principles or values that govern the conduct of an individual or a group.It is not a burden to bear, but a prudent and effective guide which furthers life and success. Ethics are important not only in business but in academics and society as well because it is an essential part of the foundation on which a civilized society is built.
[1] Ethics is defined as “the code of moral principles and values that governs the behaviour of a person or a group with respect to what is right or wrong” (Samson and Daft, 2005, p.158)

These consist of; God and Religion, human conscience, the example of good human beings and a huge desire for the best for people in each unique situation, and political power (BBC, 2013).
