A place that has many wonders of the world that include, the Great Pyramids, a huge Sphinx, and a valley of kings tombs. What is this place: Egypt. Egypt links northeast Africa with the Middle East. This place dates back to the time of the pharaohs. Egypt is very appealing to me because of its many attractions, all the amazing Gods that Egyptians worshipped, and of course the Nile River.
One thing I would love to visit Egypt to see is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Even though it would probably be really hot there it would be super fun to see this pyramid. This amazing structure is 455 feet in height, super tall. The website “nationalgeographic.com” says that, “The Great Pyramid of Giza is also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops.” Also, the website states that this pyramid is the largest and oldest of the three that are there. There were so many gods they worshipped, some of these include, Anubis, Bastet, Geb, Hathor, Sekmet, and of course the sun God Ra. The website “primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk” had a lot of information about the gods. “Amun was the King of Gods. When Amun was combined with the sun God Ra he was even more powerful. He was then called Amun-Ra. Amun has the head of a Ram” All of the egyptian Gods have animals as heads. On “ancientegypt.co.uk” it explains why this is, “Some gods and goddesses were identified with particular animals. There was often a connection between the god or goddess and the actions of the animal. For example, the goddess of war, named Sekhmet was sometimes shown with the head of a lioness to show that she was ferocious.” It is pretty cool that that is how they want to represent their gods because it is a different way they most people would. There is so many things about Egyptian Gods that fascinate me and that is why they are another reason that Egypt is so appealing to
