Rennes Health and Rehab Center: Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Rennes Health and Rehab Center is a rehabilitative services and skilled nursing facility. The facility is run, operated and began by a family. Rennes is known for the excellence of care delivered in its facilities and permanency in the community. It is a profit organization that focuses on short term and long term care needs that are met by highly skilled staff. Rennes Health and Rehab in Rhinelander, Wisconsin is one of the eleven facilities in the northeast and central Wisconsin.
Rennes in Rhinelander currently has 72 beds for short term and long term care. Residents staying at the facility can receive occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and 24 hour nursing care. Rennes also offers daily recreational activities and outings, spiritual services and beautician and barber services. Once residents are discharged, he or she can have the option to continue outpatient therapy to meet his or her therapeutic needs.
Rennes staff is consisted of certified nursing assistants, nurses, director of nursing, assistant director of nursing, marketing coordinator, administrator, assistant administrator, director of therapy, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, housekeeping, maintenance, drivers, director of activities, activity coordinators, assistant director of social services, and director of social services.

Structure
Rennes a profit organization. The leaders of the organization start out with President of the organization, the vice-president, and two main administers that help run all of the Rennes in Wisconsin. At each Rennes there is a head administer, director of therapy, director of nursing and a director of social services. Under the administer is an assistant, and scheduling assistant. The director of nursing has an assistant and also works with the other nurses and certified nursing assistants. Director of therapy is in charge of occupational therapists, physical therapists and the speech therapist. The Social Services director has a part-time assistant. Figure 1 displays Rennes in Rhinelander’s organization.
A typical day at Renfrew consists of daily therapy sessions for patients. These sessions vary from individual and group. They also consisted of meal times, each patient was given specific dietary needs from their nutritionists.

Long-term care facilitates are generally classified by ownership: Proprietary (for profit) meaning owned by individual or corporation and run for profit. Religious, meaning owned and operated by a religious organization, lay/charitable meaning owned and operated by a voluntary, non governmental and non religious body. (non profit). There is a shortage of all health care professions throughout the United States. One shortage in particular that society should be very concerned about is the shortage of Registered Nurses. Registered Nurses make up the single largest healthcare profession in the United States. A registered nurse is a vital healthcare professional that has earned a two or four year degree and has the upper-most responsibility in providing direct patient care and staff management in a hospital or other treatment facilities (Registered Nurse (RN) Degree and Career Overview., 2009). This is regulated by the nursing governing bodies. The nurses have to work within their scope of practice to deliver a good service to clients with quality and they are permitted only to work within the scope of practice. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have recently begun requiring hospitals to report to the public how they are doing on patient care. Brown, Donaldson and Storer Brown (2008) introduce and explain how facilities can use quartile dashboards to transform large amounts of data into easy to read and understandable tool to be used for reporting as well as to determine areas in need of improvement. By looking at a sample dashboard for an inpatient rehab unit a greater understanding of dashboards and their benefits can be seen. The sample dashboard includes four general areas, including nurse sensitive service line/unit specific indicators, general indicators, patient satisfaction survey indicators and NDNQI data. The overall performance was found to improve over time. There were areas with greater improvement such as length of stay, than others including RN care hours and pressure ulcers. The areas of pressure ulcers and falls did worse the final quarter and can be grouped under the general heading of patient centered nursing care. The area of patient satisfaction saw a steady improvement over the first three quarters only to report the worst numbers the final quarter. Hospitals offer a varying range of acute, convalescent and terminal care using diagnostic and curative services in response to acute and chronic conditions arising from diseases as well as injuries and genetic anomalies. In doing so they generate essential information for research, education and management. Traditionally oriented on individual care, hospitals are increasingly forging closer links with other parts of the health sector and communities in an effort
