Children are our future, and to teach them well I will focus on the educational needs of each individual child. I want to inspire each child to reach for their highest potential, to develop the necessary social skills and positive character traits to become responsible members of their class, school and community, and to encourage parents to become partners in their child’s education.I see education as a lifelong journey of acquiring new ideas and concepts. A journey that blends art and science to create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where learning is expected, encouraged and supported. I believe each student is unique. To support my unique learners, I must be aware of their strengths and growth areas through the use of personal interaction and assessment. Building trust and rapport, and showing genuine interest in each individual student is the key to being a successful teacher. …show more content…

Students are valuable members of our class, our school, our community and are individual unique learners. Their role is to be receptive to learning, to listen and ask questions, to follow the student established classroom rules (TBD), to always try their best, and display positive character traits.
