MKT 4410 was a very meaningful class for me, and it helped me to understand and analyze the international market better. Now, the current international market is becoming more complex and difficult to understand because of the globalization of information and the political policies of countries. Although the international market is risky to enter, I learned enough professional knowledge about international marketing that can help me to survive in the foreign market. Also, Country Manager was a very useful tool for me to learn the knowledge by doing simulations. I learned the complex relations between every decision that we made in the market and how it might affect our firm’s success in the market. During the process, I think there are two most important things I learned from Country Manager; they are: knowing and analyzing the consumers

I found this case study particularly interesting; in retrospect this class would have been extremely helpful prior to starting my husband’s business. I now see the importance of having a clear financial plan and projection, along with a strong command of your market share. My husband and I have been able to muddle through the areas were did not know or understand in running a business, but prior knowledge would have been a valuable

Globalisation allows individuals, groups, corporations, and countries to reach around the world farther, faster, more deeply, and more cheaply than ever before. Most large local companies regard globalisation as opportunity, thereby exploring overseas markets for maximum market share and optimum business strategies. However, managers would face a series of challenges caused by leadership models, cultural backgrounds, political and economic risks, HR management, etc. To study multinational management skills is very useful for my future career. In this essay, I will set goals for this subject, identify the skills I have honed and need to improve, and explain my strategies for achieving goals.
International business can be quite challenging and unsuccessful, if multinational companies do not look at the environment where they want to explore and invest. There are different aspects and market dimensions that can tell decisions makers if it’s convenient to invest in different markets. According to Global Edge (2014), “Global marketing has become more and more important over the years with the increasing trend of internationalization. Faced with too many choices, marketers have the challenge of determining which international markets to enter” (para. 1). The market potential indicator (MPI) is an index that can help marketers understand statistically how consumers behave and use these numbers to analyze potential countries and its risks. Based on the MPI

In recent decades, the process of globalization has accelerated and the world economy has become increasingly interdependent. The rise in the number of businesses that extensively operate in more than one foreign country, which is known as multinational corporations, plays an important role in the ongoing procedure of globalization. The United Nations has reported that multinational corporations hold one-third of world’s productive assets and control 70 percent of world trade (Schermerhorn et al., 2014). As there is a considerable growth in international businesses, worldwide economy is becoming more highly competitive. The global economy not only offers great opportunities for multinational enterprises but also on the other hand, creates many difficulties for them. Therefore, success in the large-scale economy requires a number of elements. One of the major determinants is dependent on global managers. In the operation of organizations, managers may encounter different international management challenges that restrict their business development. Leadership is something that is heavily prevalent in the workforce and in the world today. Being a leader, in my opinion, takes someone (or a group of people) who is willing and able to lead a few or many people. Not every leader though is successful or leads in a positive way. There definitely exists both good and bad leadership. Many leaders fail while many achieve extraordinary milestones. But everyone, not just leaders, have their pitfalls and rough patches in life. I know that I myself have some weaknesses as a leader, and that is what I want to take some time to reflect on.
In this essay we will be introduced to a leader who holds a high place of authority in the military and gain some personal insight on leadership and management. Then will look at this writer’s own personality traits and what leadership model the personality traits best match. Then look at the tenets of motivation and how this writer’s personality suites these tenets. Also look at the relationship between effective communication and motivation. Then finally we will look at some thoughts of what it takes to be an effective employee, successful manager, and an exemplary citizen.

Manager can do a research on the country their company is going to venture in. By reading newspaper articles, browsing on the internet or asking your fellow colleague to acquire related information regarding the culture of the country.
Every business today needs international marketing skills to be able to compete in an increasingly competitive global market place.
With nearly half of the world’s largest corporations, an export rate only second behind China, and the perceived value of American goods by foreign consumers, the need for global marketing by companies in the United States is a necessity. Global marketing expands a company’s market, allowing them to grow, and not only rely on their own country resources and revenues for their success. Companies that expand operations abroad gain benefits to their business such as new approaches to distribution, development of new products, and new insights into customer behaviors. As a nation, global trade provides a way to source needed materials and products that are either not available, or in insufficient amounts to meet the needs of customers.

My experience has been successfully expanded as a result of attending classes, to include global approach to the international business. I found out that practice for international business has become little bit complicated due to influence of globalization.
