Stress is commonly experienced in a person’s daily life and can be affecting in different ways. A person may be affected by stress physically, emotionally, and in a health matter. Stress can become overwhelming and usually difficult to control. The question now is; how could an individual prevent stress from happening? Unfortunately, majority stress is suffered by majority of people and will always be a part of a human’s life. However, there are several factors that are capable of managing an individual’s level of stress. Factors that help manage and reduce stress are such as aerobic exercise, relaxation, meditation, and spiritual communities (Myers, 2013 p.502). These factors help manage stress but will not cure a person from experiencing stress completely. People can find either one of the above factors beneficial. However, different strategies work differently on people.
One of the factors that enhance an individual’s ability to deal with stress is aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is composed of activities such as walking, running, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. This form of exercise is helpful for the body and health. Besides the help of reducing stress in a person this activities also include better sleep, relief of depression, or sickness. Exercising regularly can improve a person’s health which will then reduce the stress sickness may give. Another way exercise is capable of reducing stress is because exercise increases the body’s “feel good” chemicals, which are endorphins (Scott, 2012). These chemicals improve a person’s mood. ...hing the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean. Observational learning in the other hand is learning a fear by watching others experience it. June could have learned the obsessive compulsive behavior by observing others avoid anxiety by cleaning. Cognition is an example of how the learning perspective could have influenced June’s behavior. This explains how a person can over exaggerate a scenario. June may also believe that if her house is not spotless clean than she will get sick from germs and bacteria. These factors can all be a part of a learning perspective that can cause a change in behavior of an individual.
