In today’s society, organisations consistently try and find ways to be creative and innovative so as to gain competitive advantage over their rivals. They consider being innovative an essential part in achieving business goals. This provides satisfaction for the customers as they are being provided with great products. Satisfaction is also provided for employees as they can confidently share their ideas. Innovative ideas do not only come from employees but also from the managing staff. This is referred to as leadership innovation, another way in which organisational leaders develop an innovative environment in the workplace. People with management positions take active roles, and are being extremely innovative and are often hands-on with regards to the development of new products and services. This results in a positive outcome as it encourages their employees to follow and work harder in thinking of more ways to develop products and services.
