Three teenagers lost in a world, a world where they feel alone. Frightened that they have no way out of their problems, is Rebel Without A Cause, a film directed by Nicholas Ray in 1955. This film was created to show the mindsets of young adolescent teenagers. Everyone in their teen years goes through so many different events in life that they sometimes feel as if they have nobody to go to. Just like our main characters Jim, Judy and Plato. They all felt lost with no direction because they were missing a few things in their lives. Unknowingly they all need each other in order to continue being themselves. Intoxicated, Jim is being crazy, and there was ultimately no discipline from the parents. In the film as the Stark family is in the office with officer Ray, the only thing his father asks Jim is “Where were you tonight, Jimbo?” Jims father asks that question as if there was nothing wrong with the fact that he was incarcerated. That statement continued by “I don't see what's so bad about taking a little drink.” Directed towards officer Ray. We see that throughout the duration of this scene only once, does anybody of his family asks why he drank, concluding with Mr. Stark stating the party they came from is no place for kids. Officer Ray then pulls Jim into another room to speak to him about the problems with his parents. Jim then states “And they think they are protecting my by moving.” Jim says that they move from place to place when things get bad. They never give Jim the time or attention he needs to get through something instead they assume they know what is right and wrong. His parents have no idea how to help their son. Usually when parents pay full and close attention to their child, they will do anything to make sure their child does not repeat it ever again. In
