Rambo: First Blood The feature film, Rambo: First Blood, carries an impactful message that lasts and remains relevant through the decades. It portrays a message about what was arguably one of the most important topics of the time. Rambo: First Blood details some of the many struggles that some of the returning veterans of the Vietnam war had faced. This movie carries an important, very gritty, and extremely important message about the treatment if our returning veterans from the Vietnam War, behind its cheaply made action film cover. It was filmed in the province of British Columbia, Canada during the winter. The scenes in the movie that took place in a town were shot in a small town called Hope, British Columbia. while the rest of the movie, which took place in a forest, was shot in Golden Ears Provincial Park and Pitt Lake at Pitt Meadows ("Filming Locations."). The film's protaginist, John Rambo, was played by Sylvester Stallone ("First Blood."). The weaponry used in the film had to be imported into Canada. Several of the imported weapons in the film were stolen from the set (Gallagher 154). Rambo: First blood was made on a fourteen million dollar budget. It ended up grossing over one hundred and twenty five million dollars worldwide. Rambo: First Blood was released in the year nineteen eighty-two ("First Blood.") The movie is based upon the plot of a book of the same name ("David Morrell On Rambo - David Morrell."). Which was written by the author David Morrell, it was published in 1972. The book has a few key differences from the movie, it has a different ending, where Rambo ends up dying, and it explores the character of the police chief, the primary antagonist of the story, in much greater depth ("First Blood - David
