If I had a dollar for every time Ralph Himmelsbach has been mentioned in my research, I would be a billionaire. By far, Ralph Himmelsbach is the most knowledgeable person on the D.B. Cooper subject in history, and his brain is a great resource to investigators. He has been involved in the Cooper case since day one, and, despite retiring, shows no signs of stopping his search for D.B. Cooper. So, when the wisest man on the subject says Kenny Christiansen is not D.B. Cooper, that means he is not D.B. Cooper Kenneth Christiansen, as the quote mentioned, was suspected of the hijacking post-mortem by his own brother. They were both left-handed, ond of bourbon, and heavy smokers; but these descriptions are not rare by any standards. Besides the
fact that Ken Christiansen was shorter and thinner than the description given, the ex-paratrooper could have easily committed the crime. After all, he bought a house in cash in the months following the crime. Lyle, his brother, is positive that his own flesh and blood was responsible for endangering 41 lives. Why he as so sure is unclear, due to the fact that there is nothing linking the two men. Yes, on his deathbed, Kenneth mentioned that he had a secret of some sort, but that could be interpreted as anything. Also, Kenny Christiansen continued to work for Northwest Orient Airlines, the company that as hijacked. Staying at the scene of the crime for years seems too careless of a mistake for Cooper, who meticulously calculated the hijacking. Somebody from Flight 305 eventually would have recognised him, thus leading to a lifetime in jail; a dismal fate for the daring crook. Plus, the fact that Lyle wanted to turn his plot of his brother possibly being a terrorist into a Nora Ephron movie is troubling. Does Lyle legitimately believe his brother committed the crime, like he claims? Or is he just seeking his fifteen minutes of fame? Whatever Lyle Christiansen’s motives are, the only evidence linking D.B. Cooper and his late brother is circumstantial.
In the Longville case, Elizabeth Blackwell who has received her medical degree specialized in neurological medicine accepted a job offer with Neurological Associates. Blackwell was then introduced to Dr. Richard Cohn and Dr. Jean Valjean, the two partners who managed Neurological Associates. Cohn, who was the primary contact spoke with Blackwell and came to an agreement of benefits Blackwell would receive while she was employed with NA. However, once Blackwell was hired Cohn had asked Blackwell to sign a document that was part of her contract, in which he had failed to inform her of during the previous negotiation. Cohn had informed Blackwell that the document was a normal procedure and she

Dr. Stanley Sue is an Asian American clinical psychologist whose research focus is on Asian American minorities. Dr. Sue was born in Portland, Oregon and was the third of six children to his Chinese immigrant parents. As a child “his first career ambition was to repair televisions, but soon he got bored with shop classes. Then, he developed great fascination with psychotherapy and the idea of helping emotionally disturbed individuals (Rockwell 2001).” Dr. Sue recalled, “I told my parents that I wanted to become a clinical psychologist, not fully knowing what a clinical psychologists did (Rockwell 2001).” He also remembered what his father said and thought after making this declaration: “My father, who was born in China, said, ‘What is that?’ He couldn’t believe that people would pay me to listen to their problems – indeed, he wondered if I could make a decent living (Rockwell 2001).”
Laurent Clerc was born in LaBalme, France, on Dec. 26 1785. His father was Mayor of the town and the family could boast of a long line of magistrates in the Clerc lineage. At the age of one, the infant fell from a kitchen chair by accident into a nearby fireplace. He was burned on one side of his face and a fever left him totally deaf. He had uncle also named Laurent Clerc, who heard about the school for the deaf in Paris. When he was twelve years old, his uncle brought him to Paris and took him in the Royal Institution for the Deaf. In 1816, his eight year as a teacher, an event happened which changed the course of his life.
It was not until I read Carol S. Dweck’s “Brainology” that I realized I had a fixed mindset. I care more about getting a 4.0 than actually understanding what I am being taught and I also hate struggling. These habits are part of having a fixed mindset. It was after reading this article that I discovered I could change my mindset and be successful. Having a fixed mindset means that you believe that you and others only have a certain amount of intelligence. A growth mindset on the other hand, is believing that everyone has the ability to reach a higher level of intelligence through effort and hardwork.
The birth of psychology was in December of 1879, at Germanys University of Leipzig (Myers, 2014, p.2). In 1960, Wilhelm Wundt and Edward Titchener defines psychology as “the science of mental health” (Myers, 2014, p.4). However, two provocative American psychologists, John Watson and B.F Skinner, redefined psychology in 1920. They redefined psychology as “the scientific study of observable behavior” (Myers, 2014, p.4). The problem arose when psychologists realized people could not observe feeling or thought so they needed to come up with a new definition for psychology. We define psychology today as “the science of behavior and mental processes” (Myers, 2014, p.4). Psychology includes many subfields such as human development, social behavior,
Witnesses on the day claimed to see the shots fired from the sixth story window of the Depository. Oswald was one of the few working in the building on that day, which raises even more suspicion about him. Oswald had access to all the materials needed to kill the President. The fact that Oswald killed the police officer questioning him speaks volumes about his guilt as well.
In this argumentative essay written by Dr. Ron Kline a pediatrician who wrote his essay titled “A Scientist: I am the enemy”. The group of Americans, as mentioned above, have come to be called the 9/11 Truthers; part of the truth movement. They believe that the attacks on 9/11 were an inside job with help of government organizations. They aim to use the flawed stories and overwhelming evidence to support their side of the issue. The first issue I want to deal with is the hole that was made when the Boeing 757 hit the pentagon. The 9/11 debunkers (people who believe the contrary to the 9/11 Truthers) say that the plane did indeed hit the pentagon and have both pictures and videos to prove this point. They said that there was only small debris left of the plane because the rest of the plane was vaporized. They have gone on record saying that they have interviewed all of the clean up crew that day and that they indeed see a plane. The debunkers have also said that the plane bounced off the ground before it hit the pentagon.
On November 24, 1971 D.B. Cooper was made famous for his crime of hijacking a plane. D.B. Cooper was never found and so never arrested either. Many people are still working on the case today! Some people try to do similar acts like D.B. Cooper.
Radiologic technologists, also known as radiographers, have the job of performing diagnostic imaging examinations; among many other tasks. The typical radiographer must be able to interact with patients by taking their medical history, administering oral or injected contrast media, explaining procedures and safety measures, and observing and monitoring them. Radiologic technologists also have to correctly position and immobilize their patients for examination; along with assisting patients that are unable to move (i.e. disabled, sick, injured patients). If a radiologist finds any abnormalities while handling a patient they must report it to the physician. Along with that, a radiologic technologist must be capable of operating all equipment required for the job including x-ray generators, ultrasound scanners, and fluoroscopes. They must be able to use radiation safety guidelines and proper protection materials to keep everyone (including themselves) safe and comply with government regulations. A radiologic technician has to process and review film and other information to evaluate whether or not it is satisfactory for diagnostic purposes and
Heinrich Himmler was the cruelest men and was one of the reasons over six million Jewish people lost their lives during the holocaust. Heinrich Himmler was the person that came up with the “final solution”. The final solution was code word for killing all of the Jewish people in Europe. Heinrich Himmler being the second most powerful man in Germany, just being under Hitler himself, he was able to be in charge of the cruel SS branch of the Nazi party. His responsibility was to keep the Nazi empire safe and to ensure that the Final Solution was being put to use. (ushmm1)
As a naïve kid growing up in India, all I wanted to be was a cricket player. I would carelessly spend hours in the 110-degree heat of New Delhi playing cricket with my friends, as our mothers would yell at us to come inside to protect us from the heat. I would wake up at the crack of dawn and practice before school; I would practice during any spare time I could find. During those times the idea of practicing medicine seemed farfetched. The concept of becoming a doctor did not cross my mind until I started volunteering at the Hinsdale Hospital E.R. during high school. I continued working at the Hinsdale Hospital not necessarily because I saw it as future career but because I was fascinated by everything around me. I made beds, transported samples back and forth from the lab, and other seemingly mundane tasks. I also talked to as many patients as I could and I slowly realized that it was not really small talk; it meant something. It meant something to me because I liked being a part of their healing process in a humble way. I would listen in
