In the article, “Can We Change Racial Bias?”, Wendy Hasenkamp Discusses how racially bias plays into peoples thinking without knowing. This is known as implicit bias. The media is one of the sources that portray implicit bias to the viewer. No one wants to be label as a racism, so they may deny and believe they are not. In the experiment, implicit association test (IAT), Hasenkamp reveals that white people may say they are not racist but their actions and mind say something else. When the participants see a black face, they are hesitant to place them in a bad or good category. This an interesting article, I like that fact that it is not an article that just talks about racist and denying that fact that it does exist in today’s world. The article presents different ways to sway people’s minds away from implicit bias. While watching the film, I felt a sense reality. It good that they are demonstrating what it feels like to black and understand black people. I would like to know what the next step toward introducing the implicit bias in the population. Finally, they are correcting the blind slightness people than to have about another race. It not only black people who are facing discrimination but other nations like Asian are placed in the same stereotypical category. Racially bias can be a change in the utopia world for sure. The law tries to correct the wrong and protect people against discrimination but there are just a few apples that always spoil the whole bunch. The Equal Protection Clause and the United States Declaration of Independence protect all men, but not everyone believes act that way. Not everyone would participate in the exercise, and you can't force them. What’s the next step toward limiting implicit bias in the large population? The harsh treatment that the children face has affected their class performance. Imagine what the other minority races are facing. The fact that black people are still striving regardless of being discriminated shows they have more in store
