Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines leadership as the quality of a person who guides or directs a group. Personally, leadership is giving up selfishness of oneself to guide others for the purpose of benefiting another. Leaders throughout time have been powerful individuals that help others for the greater good. Unfortunately, so-called leaders can commit actions that show they are not determined leaders, but rather selfish humans. Leadership, good and bad, has been demonstrated from the 17th century to the 21st century, and the modern nation can take these lessons and grow as leaders themselves. Currently, leaders have no objection of race, color, or disability, they are shown on televisions and congratulated for their helpful hands. Like the heroic leadership qualities that our late Queen Elizabeth II demonstrated, our reigning queen today, Queen B, yet better referred to as Bey, but most importantly Beyoncé, stands above all with her flawless attitude towards equal rights for all genders. Queen Elizabeth II shares this feminist quality with Beyoncé by guiding their people to understand that a women’s body does not confine them from greatness. More’s Utopia exposes the harsh injustices of King Henry’s ruling to the growing population. The audience benefits by the reading because it illustrates a greedy king causing his poor beggars to crave anarchy, they have no money or respect left to lose. Furthermore, Queen Elizabeth’s speech to her troops sends a powerful message to the forthcoming leaders by giving them hope and strength to fight their own battles despite appearance, flaws, and femininity.
