A research design incorporates different elements of analysis with the most logical method. There are many different approaches to a research study, and the appropriate course depends on the nature of the research. The design is the blueprint to the overall structure on how the method is applied. The method describes the techniques used to conduct the research. Knowing the data that the study should collect is fundamental in determining how the investigation is executed. This paper explores the importance of research studies on human lifespan development, specifically between two articles, Successful Talent Development in Soccer and Rational Thinking and Cognitive Sophistication: Development, Cognitive Abilities, and Thinking Dispositions. …show more content…
A case study design works well for this type of analysis because it can provide an understanding of the effects over time as well as give insight into social and cultural changes. Case studies are also relevant when extensive information on social behavior is sought after. The case study, Successful Talent Development in Soccer (2013), collected data by studying cohort groups and examining lifespan development. Furthermore, case studies disclose the complexities of real-life situations, which may not be otherwise uncovered through experimental or survey research. The groundwork is a holistic approach, which helps identify the complex risk factors in a situation as well as pinpointing any real issues (Creswell, 2012). The article, Rational Thinking and Cognitive Sophistication: Development, Cognitive
Abilities, and Thinking Dispositions (2014), describes the most common research design used in their study, which is a correlation. Correlation explores the relationship between two or more variables through a correlational analysis. The intent is to determine what degree the variables are related if they are related at all.

The strengths in using the questionnaire or survey method are the simplicity of collecting the data. The poll or survey method can be an inexpensive way to conduct research.

Abstract: Youth Soccer has recently evolved into a fiercely competitive arena. More and more children are leaving recreational leagues to play in highly competitive select leagues. While select sports are a valuable resource where children can learn how to socialize and become self-motivated, children who start at young ages, ten and eleven, can suffer psychological and physical damage. A child's youth sporting experience is directly influenced by the attitudes, sportsmanship and behavior of their parents and coaches.
Hours before a match, athletes in all corners of the world tend to freak out due to all the psychological factors that accompany performance in sports. Stop for a quick second and imagine becoming a Manchester United Striker or a Denver Broncos Wide-Receiver. For those who did not know already, these two positions are among the hardest in the sports world to play. Not only must the person assigned to these positions stay up until the early hours of the morning studying plays and formations so they might better assist their team come match day, but they also act as the main way the teams they play for get any points. If the expectation of being the team’s top scorers isn’t enough, they must also act as an inspiration to every other teammate that plays alongside them. Even though most people say psychological factors have no effect on an athlete’s performance in sport, athletes are negatively affected by the psychological aspects because of pre-game jitters they may experience, the relationship each athlete has with the stadium crowd, and the toll each match has on the athletes’ bodies.
The first social issue of social division and the ideology of popularity that sport causes in the education system. For many years, student culture was studied by factors that high school students used to determine popularity. Research usually found that male students wanted to be remembered as athletic stars, while females wanted to be remembered
Planning or conducting a study requires research and a good design. “A good design, one in which the components work harmoniously together, promoting efficient and successful functioning; a flawed design leads to poor operation or failure” (Maxwell, 2013, p. 2). When conducting research, the research questions are the normal starting point. They are what drives the study and, therefore, the piece that controls the design which all other components must follow (Maxwell, 2013). With the research questions at the center of the design, unlike typical research models, the interactive model of research design is connected in such a way as to provide
Data Collection and Analysis Questionnaire The research was carried out on both quantitative and qualitative approaches. It began with a quantitative approach—questionnaire. Bryman and Bell (2003) asserted that mail or postal questionnaires are the most popular forms of questionnaires. Another form—self-completion questionnaire—was also common because of the overlap with postal questionnaire to some extent.
The Advantages and Limitations of Social Surveys in Sociological Research To survey something, is to carry out a systematic overview so that a researcher can produce a comprehensive general report on it. Survey method is often used by positivist sociologists seeking to test their hypotheses, and to investigate causes and examine variables. As with every other sociological research, survey has its own advantages and limitations. Positivist research, which is in the scientific tradition, begins with a hypothesis that can be either confirmed or rejected according to the data collected. One of the significant advantages of survey method is that, it can be used to collect data that is a representative of a larger population.
The nature of research instruments, the sampling plan and the type of data the research design constitutes the blueprint for the collection, the measurement and analysis of data. It aids the researcher in the allocation of his limited resources by posing crucial choices.
A research design basically comprises of procedures and methods to be taken in order to achieve the pre-determined research objectives or to test the formulated hypotheses statements. The role of a research design is to ensure that statistical findings generated by the data would provide valid and conclusive answers to the stated research questions. Research design can take various forms, namely (i) exploratory research, (ii) descriptive research and (iii) causal research. This study is a descriptive approach and this mean that we wanted to describe and reveal particular characteristics and pattern.
Opponents try to restrict ‘time’ and ‘space’ that is available to make that decision. This pressure suggests that a part of the total performance of a soccer player is dependent on his ability to anticipate on future soccer situations. From an early age, I have played soccer with either my friends or by myself. Throughout the years I maintained a strict training regimen, such exercises included sprints, hurdles and squares. Doing these exercises helped further develop my SAQ or Speed, Agility, & Quickness for short.
Research design is an outline of research study which indicates that what the researcher will do from writing the hypothesis and its operational implications to the final analysis of data. A research design is the arrangement of conditions for data collection and analysis of data in such a way that it will aim to combine relevance to research purpose with implementation of developed framework from research proceedure[1]. Research design constitutes conclusion regarding what, why, where, when and how concerning an inquiry or a research study. Overall research design may be divided into the following parts. [2]
Striating from the research idea to the culmination of the findings, the research process entails many segments, all of which are imperative. By choosing the research methodology, the researchers can formulate the path to be used in conducting the study and reporting the findings. The methodology helps in the search of literature, development of research questions and the creation of the most suitable study design. It also assists in the interpretation of the results and the publication of the findings in journals.

Every research study should describe the methods used for collecting, analysing and interpreting data. Research methodology is a systematic solving of the research problem and includes all the tools and methods used in the research process.
