My goals in life have been influenced by experiences and lessons I have endured throughout my young life. Ever since I was a kid I always had a desire to help people. I remember giving my pocket change to the homeless as we waited at a stop light, helping the elderly take their groceries to the car, help our neighbors cut the yard and many more. The satisfaction I received from a simple “Thank You”, was overwhelming.

You get first-hand experiences that broadens your skills and knowledge to a medical field. Certifications included in this academy are certified nursing assistant, pharmacy technician, phlebotomist and emergency medical technician. During my freshman, I took the required courses that lead to a deeper understanding of the human body and medical science. I endured a great experience when I took Hospital Practicum class. We would go on hospital rotations and shadow nurses. I was able to experience the day to day tasks of a nurse and the obstacles they encounter on a daily basis. I learned that a being a nurse was hard and satisfying but not the career I wanted to undertake.
So the path to search for my career continued but was narrowed when I joined the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club organization. During my participation I competed in forensic medicine and medical math. The competition was a great opportunity to explore my options, interact with others and achieve recognition for our work. Participating in a team-work environment was another great experience which I enjoyed. Joining HOSA gave me the insight to confirm my career choice of becoming a
Growing up, I was never really sure what career would fit best for me. I didn’t know which direction I was going to take and I always ended up pushing it aside because truly, it scared me. Coming into high school, I ended up with multiple injuries – I sprained my left ankle twice and my right ankle once; I also ended up spraining my elbow. This all happened through cheerleading and lacrosse. I was continually going to the hospital and started to realize what my passion was – being in the medical field. My passion for being in the medical field grew even more when my brother married his girlfriend, Yuko. She happened to be a nurse, as well as my other brother who worked as a physical therapist. Though I didn’t know what field I necessarily wanted to go into, and I still am a little conflicted, I knew my heart was in the medical field. One that I’ve specifically looked into recently has been emergency room nurses.

As a young girl I always knew that in my future I would go into a career that consisted of helping others. I also knew that I wanted to have a career in the medical field. When I put the two together and after researching different careers in the medical field, I knew being a physician’s assistant was the best fit for me. Not only would I be able to work helping others but I would be in the field that in my eyes is the best field to be in.
Practicing in the medical field is a respectable profession, since its main goal is to help others when they are in need. Although, I’m not sure of what job I will have, I do know that it will be in the field of medicine. I hope through the mentoring program I will be able to decide if a Certified Medical Assistant is the job for me.

Growing up I struggled with the constant question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” With so many different career paths to choose from, it’s hard to become overwhelmed. As college gradually tiptoed in on me, I began to feel like I would never find the profession right for me. The few things that I did know I wanted in my future career were very simple to me. They were a job in the healthcare world where I could go home each night knowing I made a difference in someone’s life. A job that wasn’t just following a routine everyday but required creativity and brought new challenges while working with a diverse population.
The view of nursing is now more in depth and well rounded than before attending this class. Also, I now have a better understanding that scientific knowledge has a huge impact on nursing. Before taking these specific classes this semester I did not realize how much of a role science played in the nursing career. This quarter has really shown me that a nurse is not a "task monkey." The most surprising thing that I learned this semester was the abundance of knowledge that a nurse has to have in variety of areas such as assessment, legal, risk prevention, and educator just to name a few. I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
My ultimate value is my family. My vision for my own self is to live happily with my family in the future. I love to spend my spare time with them. Hanging around with friends and family make me feel well. I love to play on computer. I also love to play with the magical numbers. I like surfing on the internet, exploring new things, reading articles related with health, life, and economic events such as the stock market, financial companies, investment corporations, etc. I think being a citizen of a country, we should somewhat at different aspects of life to better know how well or bad the economy of our country is experiencing. My goal is to become a businessperson. I believe doing business is an important way to improve the economy of a nation. I did a research on two different careers. However, they are sort of having a relation with each other. Both of them are in the business field – accounting and financial analyzing.
The focus of criminal behavior is to understand the motive of crime, reasons why the offenders commit a crime and their behaviors. To get a clear understanding of criminal behaviors, it is incredibly important to draw clear lines between varying types of crimes such as the mass murder and serial killing. This paper explores the notion of criminal behaviors and how they relate to different types of crimes as contextualized in the article; "Dangerous Minds. " Discussion From the class lecture notes, a serial killer is defined as a person who murders multiple victims with cooling off period in between each period.
My junior year in high school in the Health care program consist of class room learning medical terminology, pharmacology and skills of being nurse; however, in my senior year, I had the privilege to attend clinical at local nursing homes, hospitals and veterinary clinics. Clinical in health care program, in high school was an eye opening experience and consist of me shadowing the nurses that I was assigned to. I had the opportunity to see what nurses have to deal with and it does take a special person. My experience in the Health care program and working firsthand with the sick and elderly patients has supported and confirm that I have what it takes to become a nurse. I enjoyed the experience of shadowing nurses so much that I volunteered at the Lowman Home, a nursing home in my community during my spare time while I was in high school. I was assigned to work with elderly patient who had Alzheimer; I would read, play games and interact with the patients; I enjoy see the smile that I put on their faces by taking time with
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
