The Horrifics of the Nazi Party. Germany’s leading party during WWII, the Nazi Party, had a triumphant, but difficult rise. There are many people responsible for the party's ability to overcome the challenges faced. The Nazis also impacted many other aspects of history and had many other evil ideologies. The Nazis had a challenging upcoming and impacted the events of WWII and still affect us today. The Nazi’s rise to power was a slow process with many obstacles. It took the Nazis roughly 3 years to gain any stable political standing and even that was met with conflict. At the time the Nazi’s were less popular, ending this rebellion before it started; however, the uprising did accomplish two things: it landed Hitler in jail and made him realize the only way the Nazis would become powerful was through democratic means. Hitler and his party participated in the Reichstag elections. The 1928 and the 1930 Reichstag elections were disappointing for the party but it did have one benefit: “In addition, it created auxiliary organizations to appeal to specific groups. For example, there were groups for youth, women, teachers, and doctors. The Party became particularly popular with German youth and university students.” (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum) they gained additional popularity with each election. It was only after the 1932 elections did the Nazi Party become the largest party and Hitler appointed chancellor. Once they were in power, the challenges did not stop. For example, Hitler was forced to stop a military coup within the party, resulting in everyone being forced to swear an oath to Hitler.
