There are kids all over the world that are exposed to mature subjects. Censorship protects our privacy. In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 their whole society is censored from any books. Censorship plays a big role in a society. Censorship prevents religious conflicts, protects kids, and helps control panic and fear.

In the article entitled, “Pros and Cons of Censorship,” it states that, “Religious conflicts are avoided by the censorship of material deemed insulting or offensive to a particular religious community.” If some religious things were not censored there would be a lot of conflicts. The author that “The difference between a child and an adult is that children are more vulnerable to the effects of everything from sunburn and alcohol to ideas and images.” This quote means that kids can be corrupted by anything. Children’s minds can be destroyed from mature things on the internet. The author goes on to say that society should take more time in protecting our kids and young children. Kids just don't need to be censored on the internet, but what they see on TV and in magazines. Protecting kids from mature subjects is crucial to a society.
Censorship helps control panic and fear. In the article, it states that, “When political, environmental world disasters occur, the government can help to stop the spread of rumors and lies.” The government helps a lot of lies not spread throw the country and the world. The article goes on to say that the government also stops political propaganda that is often spread through the use of the internet. If people would see some of the things the government censors they would start to panic and fear, and believe some of the lies people make. Protecting this information helps prevent riots and other problems
