The 2013 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey finds that 15% of high school students (grades 9-12) were electronically bullied in the past year. Cyber-bullying may appear to be harmless since there isn 't any physical contact, however essentially it will hurt even more than the actual issue. Behind those monitors are real individuals with real feelings; some are driven to depression, some are driven to physical bullying, and some are driven to suicide. Cyberbullying is a more preferred method chosen by bullies. It is more challenging to identify than traditional bullying, but yields the same if not worse effect on the bullied. Cyberbullying is the way bullies utilize electronic technology to attack their victims. It is repetitive, aggressive, and hurtful to the people being bullied. There are many types of cyberbullying out there each defined with their method of bullying. There is flaming, online harassment, cyberstalking, regular put-downs, masquerading, outing, and exclusion. Flaming is posting angry, rude or vulgar content about someone through an online group, email or other electronic means, according to Safaria(2016). The online harassment is like verbal harassment where a bully continuously berates the person on social media or other means of mobile communication.
