If You Give A Cat A Cupcake
In College English we were assigned to choose a children’s book of our choice, and create a recipe based off of that children’s book. My group consisted of Anna, Maya, and Sadie. We picked out the book called If you Give A Cat A Cupcake. Making cupcakes is a long process which requires gathering the supplies and ingredients, baking the cupcakes, and decorating them.
Two of my group members, Maya and Sadie, drove to Larry’s Piggly Wiggly to pick up the ingredients necessary for the recipe. The following ingredients that were needed for the procedure were two flavors of frosting (chocolate and vanilla), flour, baking powder, salt, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, whole milk. We had to buy double the ingredients so in order for us to have enough cupcakes for our classmates. After all the ingredients were bought they were evenly distributed between our group.

The next morning before class we brought in our assigned ingredients.
At 1:45 College English began and our baking process started. The first step was to preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and gather all supplies that was needed to make the cupcakes. Anna and I began to fill the cupcake pans with cupcake liners. Maya sprayed the cupcake liners with cooking spray so the cupcakes wouldn’t stick. Our next step was to start mixing the batter. I started to soften three sticks of butter in the microwave. Luckly Anna was keeping a close eye on me because I almosted used a metal bowl to melt the butter in the microwave. Sadie began to mix 4 ½ cups of flour, 3 ⅓ teaspoons of baking powder, and ¾ of a teaspoon of salt together in a bowl. For about four minutes Sadie mixed the butter and sugar. Anna then added six teaspoons of vanilla to the mixture. My group added half of our flour mixture to the bowl of eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Next, we added two cups of whole milk; along with that we added the rest of the flour mix. We mixed and mixed until the batter was nice and
smooth. Lastly, we started to bake the cupcakes. I put the cupcake pan into the oven for twenty minutes, while flipping the pan every ten minutes. We started to pick up our station and cleaning out our bowls while the cupcakes were baking in the oven. Twenty minutes went by and my group decided to put the cupcakes in the freezer for a few minutes to help them cool down faster. When I took them out of the freezer some of the cupcakes were clearly not done baking. So I placed the cupcakes back into the oven. Maya raised the temperature on the oven so the cupcakes would bake faster, since we were running short on time. After a few minutes went by I took the cupcakes out again for a second time. As we were waiting for the cupcakes to cool, Maya and Sadie began to get the supplies out for decorating the cupcakes. Maya and Sadie started frosting the cupcakes and the frosting started to drip off of the cupcakes and on to the counter creating a huge mess of frosting everywhere. The problem was because the cupcakes weren’t completely cooled as much as we thought they were. Anna and I quickly grabbed a dish rag and cleaned up the mess before it became worse. As a group we decided to restart our decorating process so Anna and I began to frost the cupcakes with chocolate and white frosting, we then handed them to Maya and Sadie who then began to decorate cats on the cupcakes based off the book we read If you Give A Cat a Cupcake. Anna and I only finished frosting a few of the cupcakes because we ran out of time. Anna and I quickly washed our works space looking for any dirt we may have missed before. Sadie and Maya put away the decorations and frosting. Our final step was to distribute the cupcakes to our fellow classmates. The cupcakes did not taste very well there was definitely either way too much flour in the batter or the cupcakes were not completely cooked.
Cupcakes in hand, I head to my next PTA fundraiser. I realize cupcakes are not going to save the education system for the next year, just as they cannot save a space program. After all, we do care about the future of education for our children. We need to analyze our issues and decide how to go about trimming the state educational budget. NASA can live through the budget cuts without cupcakes and so can our educational system. But for now, cupcake, anyone?
Prostitution, drug abuse, child abuse, rape, theft, domestic violence, alcoholism, miscarriages, gang fights, and sexually transmitted diseases are all feats that Cupcake Brown had to encounter and take on all before the age of twenty. In Piece of Cake: A Memoir by Cupcake Brown, she tells her life story and how she faced all of those feats. Throughout the book, the reader begins to notice that the use of profanity is present in almost every paragraph if not every sentence, along with the use of improper grammar. Thus, while profanity can be offensive to many, the reader begins to realize how much of an impact in makes in the book. By using the profanity and grammar Brown does, it gives the reader a more genuine look into her life.

Today’s domestic house cats sure have changed and traveled far from their old wildcat ancestors across the world. Cats have traveled halfway across the world and now live around the world in various breeds and sizes. Even though they live today in their domesticated form they still retain some of the traits that their ancestors bestowed upon them. The African wildcat is believed to be the ancestor of all domestic cats, and they’re even still alive to this day. Over thousands of years of speciation, domestic house cats came to be from these wildcat ancestors.
Stepping into high school, I have less time to roam around or to study something I wish, and dessert has always been one of my most ardent pursues. From an early age, my interests and preferences have always evolved around fantasies, cartoon, and sweets. To satisfy my long desire, I made this cookbook to tabulate out the most popular desserts along with their recipes and step by step preparing processes. Emperor Pig’s Dessert’s main theme features a pink pig (my friends use that to symbolize me) and categorizes desserts under four sections: beverages, cakes, ice creams, and international desserts. Everyday ingredients can be turned into more than one types of fine, polished desserts which you can enjoy with people you care about without repetition!

No, you now have to measure and blend, all the ingredients to make the batter. The batter should consist of all the ingredients carefully mixed and measured to exact quantities. Baking recipes must be exactly followed because baking is a science where you must follow instructions specifically, otherwise it won’t come out right. If the ingredients are not measured you might end up creating a disaster. Magic tricks have fascinated people of all ages for centuries. From David Copperfield to Chris Angel, many performers use magic to amaze and astound. One of the least elaborate types of magic tricks is the card trick. There are two main types of card tricks: there are mathematical card tricks and sleight of hand card tricks. The former are simple to learn, but do not impress audiences. To really attract attention, an aspiring magician should learn sleight of hand card tricks. Sleight of hand card tricks are tricks that use misdirection and special manipulations of a deck of cards to do something seemingly impossible. The techniques involved require much practice. While performing a sleight of hand trick, a magician must constantly be distracting the audience. Because of this, many people believe that they are not capable of learning sleight of hand magic. In order to prove them wrong, I will describe a simple sleight of hand trick that anyone can learn, as long as they remember that we all have the potential inside of us to do magic.
Many humans own a cat. Cats are considered peaceful and content animals. Even though many people own a cat, millions enter animal shelters each year. How a cat is handled within a shelter depends on the cats’ heath, handling, and housing. Disposition depends on how socialized the cats are, although many shelters are required to determine how socialized and comfortable the cats are with humans before adoption. Shelters are very stressful for cats, and can result in cats behaving in uncharacteristic ways. Cats that are highly socialized and adoptable often display aggressive or fearful behaviour when under stress. High stress levels peak when the cats are confined to a small cage in a shelter or household. Cats in households are usually free-roaming cats; they experience hazardous encounters outdoors, which cause stress levels to peak. It is also hypothesised that cats within a multi-cat household are more stressed, because they have nowhere to hide or run when spatial dispersion is unavailable. When a cat is overly stressed out, the cat can exhibit behaviours which include, vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and fever. Cats can also recognise the voices of their owners, which relates back to the 10,000-year history humans have with cats.

She told me that she got this recipe from one of her friends and she’ll make the cake in front of me so that I understand the whole process. Sarah first planned the ingredients on the table so that she didn’t miss any ingredient or step involved for that ingredient. There were eggs, sugar, butter, oil, cocoa powder, buttermilk, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips, milk and brewed coffee. Sarah said that the recipe serves ten people. She arranged all these ingredients and their quantity like this: First there were two eggs, and she revea...
Your mother prepares the cookie dough the day before and stores the dough in the refrigerator. This allows the dough to thicken and solidify so it can be molded into different shapes. She goes down into the basement to retrieve the tools and toppings. She brings up a heavy basket filled to the rim with rolling pins, sprinkles, frostings, and Christmas cookie cutters.
