Pro-Life: The Opposite of Pro-Death
Careful attention to the truth has never been standard operating procedure for pro-abortion advocates. Therefore, it should not be any suprise that half-truths, and misrepresentations, and many outright lies have permeated the pro-abortion propaganda campaign. Pro-choice is just a phrase used by people who know the absurdity of legal abortions and infanticide. Pro-life advocates have a more simple and straight forward approach: Pro-life is not the opposite of pro-choice, but the opposite of pro-death.
Pro-choice is an escape from the harsh reality that abortion is the murder of millions of innocent lives. Activists also believe that killing infants because they are severely handicapped is morally acceptable. They are of the opinion that a life can be terminated by the hands of a physician; in my opinion, only by God. That is how pro-choice activists represent themselves.
As a junior in high school, I am considering medicine as a possible career choice. Through my research in this field, I discovered the Hippocratic Oath. The Hippocratic Oath is the most famous of the Hippocratic documents; it has served as an ideal for the professional attitude and ethics of physicians to the present; the historical origin of the oath is so obscure that even the date of its composition is placed from the 6th to the 1st century B.C.
The Hippocratic Oath generally stated by Hippocrates says, “I will follow that system of regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I will consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked; I will not suggest any such counsel, and ...

...and wiggle in an ultrasound. I felt her turn, kick, and I also experienced her hiccups. I could feel the life inside of my and no pro-choice argument can convince me the Alexandria Nicole was not alive inside of me.
I realize that pregnancy can often seem like a burden: however, if you create a life you should be responsible for that life. If you choose to be responsible only for the nine months during your pregnancy, adoption is a loving and mature option. There are countless families that would love to adopt a baby. The choice of adoption gives your baby a chance to live.
There can be no justification or reason given for being pro-choice - pro-death. Every child is created with a purpose from God. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; And I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
As to any argument, there are two opposing sides when it comes to the matter of abortions. These two opposers usually refer to themselves as “pro-life” and “pro choice”. Pro-life supporters maintain that abortion is wrong and pro-choice believe that it is a woman’s freedom to choose her pregnancy decisions. When it comes to the topic of abortions, most of us will readily agree that it’s a woman’s choice to decide what her reproductive decisions are, i.e. pro-choice. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is in the question of whether or not abortion is a fundamental right granted to women by the Constitution. Whereas some are convinced that a fetus is considered alive at conception, usually citing the word of God, others maintain that
Abortion is a very controversial and sensitive topic in today’s society. Two different sides to this argument is pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life proponents believe in the right to life for unborn fetuses saying that abortion should be considered murder regardless of how far along in the pregnancy the woman is. Pro-choice advocates people who believe the woman carrying the fetus should be able to make her own decision on aborting the fetus.
Lansdale behavior and action in Vietnam and Philippine were very contradicting. In fact, Lansdale was presented as a fictional character in two opposing novels, ‘The Ugly American’ by Eugene Burdick and William Lederer and ‘The Quite American’ by Graham Greene. The two novels differed in not only in that they represented different opposing facts about the role of Lansdale in the Cold war, but also in the perspective the authors took in describing the cold war character and the role of the United States in America. Burdick and Lederer portrayed Lansdale as Colonel Edwin B. Hillandlale in ‘The Ugly American’ and presented him as an inspirational American man who valued interactive friendship among the citizens of Vietnam and Philippine and led the people to resist the communist takeover which resulted in fair election of democratic US supported leaders such as Magsaysay in Philippine and Ngo Dinh Diem in south Vietnam. (Lederer & Eugene, 1958). The novel was mainly written to warn and criticize the Americans that their role in the war was not successful as the representative leaders were ethnocentric and ignorant about the culture and view of the Asian people, thus giving credit to Lansdale for his effort to understand and assimilate into the foreign culture and respecting the nationalistic sentiments of Asians. This portrayed character of Lansdale in the novel was aimed to serve an example to how Americans should treat the Vietnamese. (Nashel, 2005).
”The pro-life movement seeks to force their moral beliefs on others - grounded in their own religion or personal philosophy. The pro-choice movement doesn 't make claims on the morality of abortion - we leave that as an individual choice for every woman faced with an unwanted pregnancy. If they feel abortion is wrong and they want to give their child up for adoption, or keep it, we will support their decision. Pro-life people say "Abortion is wrong;" we only say
A Political party is a group of individuals that share the same belief and an idea about the way that their country should be governed. There are three types of party systems in the world. These parties include the one-party, two-party, and multi-party. China has a single-party
Published 40 years after the Emancipation Proclamation, The Souls of Black Folk by W. E. B. Du Bois details the struggle and strife that black Americans still endure. The ratification of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments gave a glimmer of hope for racial equality, only to incur additional problems. Jim Crow laws and the ruling of Plessy vs. Ferguson nullified much of what the amendments stood for, and the struggle continued for black Americans. While racial discrimination limits many of the features of equality for blacks, Du Bois suggests that the Negro community, as a whole, plays a significant role in the fight for racial equality; the struggle is not based solely in politics, hence the ‘Negro Problem’ (12). Du Bois’ solution to the ‘Negro Problem’ contrasts with that of Booker T. Washington. I believe that Du Bois displays more forethought and development in his plans for education and enlightenment, rather than Washington’s strategy for economic and industrial dominance.
The political power obtained gives the political party the ability to implement their proposed policies and programs making it extremely desirable. Political parties have many significant roles in society including that they act as a means for directing political power, collecting public interests, and providing the public with choices and options. The primary goal of political parties is ultimately the obtainment of power. There are two main political parties which are Democrats and Republicans and both of these parties hold different views and beliefs. Republicans are mainly centered on the belief that each person is in charge of their own place in society. Republicans believe in limiting the intervention of the government in the work of the individual towards success. Republicans believe that the government should not intervene unless it is needed and that the freedom, dignity, and responsibility of the individual are the most important and should come first. Republicans also hold on to the idea that the government should only intervene when society is unable to operate at the level of the individual. Republicans believe that the government should be kept close to individuals as well as to the state and the community as opposed to the federal level. On the other hand,
The first side of the argument, which opposes abortion, is called pro-life. Essentially, they value a fetuses life more than a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body. To these activists, choosing abortion is the equivalent to murder, and that they are “playing god” by aborting their children. They also feel that on the other hand that abortion is a dangerous procedure, and puts the mother at risk (hli.org 3). Anti-abortion leaders argue that there are alternatives to abortion, such as adoption. Adoption may provide a warm and happy home, (although often times they are placed in uncaring home...
Political parties are made up of coalitions of people and organizations. Over the years, the Republican Party, the more conservative party, has become aligned with businesses and business interests, while the Democratic Party, the more liberal party, has aligned with the labor unions and minorities and women. In turn, these alignments have shaped the positions of the parties on major public policy issues facing America.
The main goal of political parties is to get their candidate elected or allocated to public office. Parties want their elected representatives to make policy decisions that the party supports. Elections are composed out of the political process and party interests and ideas. Parties must be responsive to a specific set of principles. Parties often must get a large number of voters to agree on one singular issue or idea that supports the parties platform. Having a set of principles and a specific platform is how parties distinguish themselves from competing parties. Candidates are directly served by political parties however political parties are intended to serve all of their members. Political parties affect voter turn out because as a consequence of having a two party system majors parties try to attract the median voter. Democrats know that people on the far left are unlikely to vote Republican and the Republicans know that people on the far right are unlikely to vote Democrat. Strategically the best way to win an election is by trying to capture those represented by the median voter which are the people right in the middle. Moderating their message to attract the median voter can cause candidates to become less effective in addressing their political views. Consequently, this can then lead to
A political party is a group that supports a candidate to run for office. It helps connect the voters to the government by letting them choose and campaign for who they want to represent them. In order for a democracy to work there needs to be at least two different parties in the election. The difference between a political party and an interest group is mainly that interest groups do not have a nomination process they have to follow. The functions of a party range from nominating candidates/helping them win the election to organizing functions for government officials. Each party brings its own set of ideas and beliefs.
The Hippocratic oath has principles that have been upheld by healthcare providers for ages, regardless of the values presented within. There are a plethora of ideals suggested throughout the oath that could definitely be questioned with careful examination. In this essay, I will argue that the Hippocratic oath should be removed as a central medical ethic until it is updated to meet the contemporary medical requirements, because the majority of the values which are instilled within, display antiquity that could be easily reversed with a modern revision.
Political parties are a group of people who get together to win an election. Every political party has a certain political ideology. The two party system has reigned for a very long time. “In fact, since 1852, a candidate from the Republican or Democratic parties has placed either first or second in
The classical Hippocratic Oath burdens unnecessarily on the new physician who is responsible to provide financial support to his teacher as well as teach this healing art to the relatives of the teacher, if they are willing to learn. Another curios thing which stood out to me was, whenever physician visits any home, he should not seduce family members of the patients for sexual relation. There are few points from the classical Hippocratic Oath, which physician will expect to be the content of the oath while taking oath at medical school. The first one is to provide good advice on the diet and keeping the patients from harm and injustice. The second point is on the prohibition of the abortion as well as keeps the patient’s information confidential.
Individual investment behavior has recently attracted a great deal of attention from researchers in the fields of economics, psychology, and marketing. The literature review will include four areas: (a) psychological factors that affect investment tendency, (b) knowledge literacy that affect investment tendency.
