JUST IN President Daoud and his brother Naim had been killed. The soldiers gave the two brothers the chance to surrender but both of the men ran out of the palace with pistols in their hands and were shot dead. President Daoud of Afghanistan came to a violent end in the early morning hours of April 27 1978, when military units loyal to the Khalq faction of the PDPA barged into the palace in the heart of Kabul. With the help of a few airplanes of Afghanistan's military air force, which are mainly Soviet made MiG-27 and SU-7s, the insurgent troops overcame the resistance of the Presidential Guard and killed Daoud and most members of his family. Yesterday, at about noon there were reports of a military tank group heading towards the city. The

The Taliban would kill people over a wrong glance which makes it super risky and there was no guarantee that Amir would make it home alive. Amir also showed bravery (288) when he fought Assef. He could have been a coward and left, allowing for Sohrab to take the beating like Hassan had done for Amir in the past, but instead he fought. This was brave because Assef was extremely violent with no moral which makes him a vicious fighter. There was a good chance Assef was going to kill Amir during the fight, but Amir did it anyways because he wanted to save Sohrab. The final example of Amir being brave was when he stood up for Sohrab to the General: “And one more thing, General Sahib,” I said. “ You will never again refer to him as ‘Hazara boy’ in my presence. He has a name and it’s Sohrab.”’ (pg. 361). The General and Amir had always had a shaky relationship and Amir had always been a bit timid towards the General. However, Amir didn’t stand for Sohrab being called a ‘Hazara boy’, a racist term that was offensive. Instead he stood up for Sohrab and made sure that Sohrab was not going to be called names like that which was brave of Amir. Amir's bravery shows that he has put in the effort to be worthy of forgiveness.

The presidency of the United Sates of America has been an evolving office since the term of our first president, George Washington. This evolution has occurred because of the changing times and the evolution of society itself, but also because of the actions of the men who have become president. Starting in the 20th century, most have referred to the presidency as the modern presidency due to changes in both a president's power and the way that the office itself is viewed. As the office of the president has evolved so has who can become president evolved. Yet, even today there are certain individuals who because of their gender or race have yet to hold the office of the presidency. The men that have been president in our modern era have all had faults and greatness, some having more of one than of the other. The modern presidency is an office that many aspire to, but that few hold. The evolution of the office of the presidency has been one from that of a traditional role to that of a modern role that is forever evolving.

A majority of the country was angered by this because Muslim belief was common. Soon enough, Afghan residents would react by joining the Mujahdeen, a guerrilla force composed of Muslims.

According to Linz, the parliamentary system is the superior form of democratic government because the Prime Minister cannot appeal to the people without going through the Parliament, creating a more cohesive form of government.
In this part the author is clearing up the nation asking for answers from Herbert Hoover, the 31st President. In the midst of this time, so much was going on. From failing miserably from starvation, afflictions, and even debilitation; it affected numerous people. They trusted that he genuinely couldn't have thought less about the world, yet he was the president. The states were sinking into a ghastly place at the time and he simply showed no affectability for people, he affirmed to pondered. The maker gets the message transversely finished by clearing up how the overall public in that age felt about each one of the issues. We found the opportunity to see a comprehension of how they felt. He recorded all the stuff we were encountering at the

Nothing would be better when President Obama would be at an event and start singing or cracking jokes with the crowd to lighten the mood or to make everybody’s days. During the two terms, he was an amazing president and did so much more than what I have written in this paper.
protect Middle Eastern oil supplies from the intruding Soviet power. “The organization also discussed about economic sanctions and trade embargoes against the Soviet Union, called for a boycott of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, and stepped up its aid to the Afghan insurgents.” (U.S. DOS). Instead, it took ten years of abrasive revolt before Moscow finally departed, at the cost of millions of lives and billions of dollars. The Soviets left a broken country in which the Taliban, an Islamic fanatic group, seized power, later arranging Osama bin Laden with a training base from which to launch terrorist activity worldwide. The Soviet stance on human rights and its invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 created new tensions between the two countries. On the
When president Barack Obama first walked on the biggest stage in America eight years ago a lot of Americans did not trust his words of wisdom to carry, we the people to a better United States. On January 10, 2017 President Barack Obama walked back on that same big stage now known and loved by so many to give his last and final speech, his Farewell speech. All of the non believers were certainly awoken to the actions that were taken by president Barack Obama to achieve most of what he truly dedicated his life and career to. Obama worked hard to gain the love, respect and dedication by so many loyal americans today. It definitely was not an easy task to achieve, many trials and many errors. Ali Ahmad Jalali is an interior minister of Afghanistan who has defeated warlords in the past and has a mission to keep them from rising to power and creating more chaos for citizens of Afghanistan. Defeating these warlords is no job for the weak. It takes carful planning and cannot be accomplished over night. By focusing on defeating the warlords at the top only, it is likely the warlords who don’t hold as much power will take their place and this will not solve anything. One thing in particular that Mr. Jalali is putting much focus into is the checkpoints created by the warlords. Jalali has several hundred Kabul policemen to man these points and ensure the safety of everyone. Hasan, a citizen of Afghanistan stresses the seriousness of these checkpoints when he shares a story about his own experience. When he was stopped at one of these checkpoints, a gunman beat him and took everything he owned. Hasan told the local media “They left me with just the clothes I was wearing. They took away whatever I had including money, and the old truck," (What Hasan Created 1). Although the progress is slow, it is the only hope Afghanistan has as of now for a better future. Ali Jalali is a glimmer of hope for Afghan citizens and they pray he will help to keep the warlords from inflicting further pain and fear into their
