For many of us when we get sick or have a pre-existing condition and need medications we have our doctors send the prescriptions to our pharmacy of choice or have a paper copy we can take ourselves. When getting to the pharmacy you always have one questions for the person behind the counter and that is “are my prescriptions ready yet?” You left your doctor’s appointment fifteen minutes ago why wouldn’t it be ready yet. What we don’t know is that there is a process to getting prescriptions ready for us, the one going through the process for up to hundreds of people a day is my girlfriend Amanda Duran.
Each day she goes to work at the hospital and comes back mentally exhausted. I once made the mistake of asking why she was so tired if all she

She goes on to explain that when she is at the window for every prescription that is brought to the pharmacy regardless of if you have been there last year or last week there is information that always needs to be verified before a prescription can be filled. That information, which is name, date of birth, address, phone number, allergies to medications and chronic conditions (i.e asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure), this information ensures that the right medication get filled for the right patient. There are people out there with the same or similar enough names with the same birthday who live on the same road. By double checking all of these she able to make sure that someone grandpa doesn’t accidently get a dose of blood thinner when he shouldn’t be on it. By her taking down the other information with her pen helps to ensure that someone who is allergic to a specific antibiotic doesn’t receive further doses that might cause anaphylactic shock. These things have happened in the past have severely hurt people, so thins information when she writes it down helps make sure that no one is potentially
Dally you should not even think about killing yourself it will not solve anything and will only make thing worse for everybody who cares about you. I know that you will not believe this and think that the world is horrible and is not worth living in but I promise you that there is still good in the world. I know that you will say that there is not and that I am naive, but I was not the only one to see this even Johnny saw it as he was dieing. He wanted me to try to point this out to you but I knew that you would need more than just me and Johnny's persuasion so I got word from all of the gang and some idea of how to make things better.

Most people want to succeed but today nobody wants to put in the hard work hence Adderall sounds like the perfect solution except no one stops to think of the consequences or even bother to do some research on the drug they are placing in their body. Advertisements are used to manipulate the reader into thinking they need Adderall, or as if they have ADHD. This manipulation works because not many people challenge advertisers instead the consumer takes it for what it is. The consumer silences themselves by not challenging and researching the drug that is being ingested. If the claim being made by the advertisement fits their problem and it has a fix many will fall for the ruse. If a product does more good than bad and is supported by scientific
More than often, American’s argue that if we have the technology to gain access to these “miracle meds”, then we should take advantage of it. To receive an opposing view, the National Institute of Drug Abuse asked teens around America why they think prescription drugs are overused, and the results were shocking; 62%: “Easy to get from parent's medicine cabinets”, 51%: “They are not illegal drugs”, 49%: “Can claim to have prescription if caught”, 43%: “They are cheap”, 35%: “Safer to use than illegal drugs”, 33%: “Less shame attached to using”, 32%: “Fewer side effects than street drugs”, 25%: “Can be used as study aids”, and 21%: “Parents don't care as much if caught”. I believe the major problem here isn’t the medication, but instead the fact that our nation is extremely uninformed on the “do’s and dont’s” of prescription medication. When “the United States is 5 percent of the world’s population and consumes 75 percent of the the world's prescription drugs” (CDC), there is a problem present, no matter the reason. Clearly, many critics believe the breathtaking amount of pills we consume in America is simply for the better good, but tend to forget the effects that are soon to follow.
It’s fall everyone and Halloween is coming.I would like to tell you that fall is the best season of all.
... for every pharmacist. This ratio dictates that pharmacists can not oversee every aspect of technicians’ jobs. It is this singular fact that very few people realize. The pharmacy technician who receives no formal training is responsible for not just the delivery of a patient’s medication, but also for their bill, their confidential information, and their life. The question now is, how can an uneducated individual be given so much responsibility? Technicians are granted these responsibilities because a pharmacist can not do the job alone. Pharmacists strive to mold each new technician into an employee that will realize what technicians really do. Pharmacists and technicians provide patients with safe and accurate medication in a timely manner. This is not a task for pharmacists or technicians alone; it is task that requires both personnel in order to be accomplished.
“What have I done?” Jason questioned as he lay in a stretcher, IV in his wrist, ambulance screaming down the highway en route to the hospital. Jason, a former performance-enhancing drug user, was supposed to live to be 50 and see his children grow up, but at 40, the effects of those harmless pills meant to keep him in the game were finally taking their toll. Performance-enhancing drugs, also known as PEDs or steroids are pills, injections, or topical treatments taken for the purpose of boosting one’s energy level, increasing muscle mass, or one's athletic or physical performance. PEDs have been in use since the first Olympics in Ancient Greece but have skyrocketed in popularity since the 1970s due to popular demand for more exciting sporting

We all know that physical enhancement drugs are not good for your health, and they boost your muscle mass greatly if used regularly. Your muscles are not the only thing that PED’s boost. They also greatly enhance your physical ability. The use of steroids should be prohibited in all sports. Steroids have been used and abused by many great athletes throughout the years.
There are many drugs that people use these days and some of them bring about some positive impacts and cure whatever diseases that we will be suffering from. However, there are other drugs that are not good for your health. Among these drugs are steroids. Steroids are considered to be organic compounds with a characteristic cycloalkane ring shapes. In most cases people use them to develop their muscles and enhance their performance when it comes to training.

You are right Tran that we are so used to scanning our medications that sometimes nurses don’t check to see if there is a duplicate order. We are not perfect, and we are liable to make a mistake which can be detrimental to the patient. We do need to take accountability for what we are doing. EHR and other technology are there to help us and make our workflow easier, but it should not replace our critical thinking ability. Nurses as the end-users must “take ownership” for working with the EHR system to deliver safe care to patients (Middleton et al.,
In the world we live in today teens and young adults constantly move from trend to trend, if one thing dies out another trend quickly takes its place. One trend that has stayed throughout history is smoking. The first cigarettes were made in 1865 by Washington Duke but didn’t become popular until 1881 that means that smoking has been around for almost 134 years! As the years passed many doctors realized how dangerous smoking was and gave cigarettes and cigars the nickname the “cancer stick”. My quote for smoking is If you would wouldn’t drink a bottle of poison them why smoke a stick of poison. Many people don’t realize that smoking doesn’t just danger their health, it dangers the health of those around them.
