Prescription drugs are making parents more overwhelmed than ever before about their teenaged child! Why must they worry so much about their teenaged child? “When you can stop you don’t want to, and when you want to stop, you can’t…” (Davies). This quote signifies that adolescents and adults have the option to quit or not try the drug when being introduced, but when they get started on the drug and they are thinking abouting quitting, they cannot because of the addiction they have on the drug. Each day they try to stay away from the drug, but they are having really bad withdrawals. Rockingham County Schools should inform parents about the strategies for preventing, recognizing, and addressing prescription drug abuse. Addiction starts with What they mean by that is so they can basically just sit back and chill. Some misuse it just to relax or to relieve stress. What they mean by taking it to relax they basically saying to help them sleep or put them to sleep, by stress reliever they saying to just something like think about life or as a little get away (“Causes of Use of Prescription”) . But some believers think that most teens are peer pressured into trying the different types. How they get peer pressured? Teens get peer pressured into trying a prescribed medication by their friends telling them they will jump him if he didn't try, someone saying they will tell business, by someone even saying it will make them cool or popular. They friend or whoever they dealer is tell them those things because they know that it will easily persuade or make them easily change their minds, and they will easily change their mind because some may be scared or those who think they need to take them to make them fit in a crowd, that if they take that medicine it will make them a leader (“Causes of Use of The first benefit of physician prescribed drugs are how they diagnose, treatment, and how to cope with it. People may not thinks it’s possible but, doctors can actually diagnose and test a patient to see if they are on any drug or if they have abused a prescription drug. Doctors can diagnose a person who been on or is on prescription drugs buy the way they answer to the questions doctor’s are asking or based off they pass history. Blood and urine test may also detect the types of abused drugs. But also in some cases there are certain signs and symptoms that provide clues that someone is on drugs (“Test and Diagnosis”). There is treatment out in communities that can help a person that is abusing the use of prescription drugs. Although, The treatment for a person who abuse prescribed drugs vary. But, counseling and psychotherapy is available in communities. Doctors can also tell if one of their patient have had treatment or in the process of having treatment. Doctors or families are the ones to refer their patient or family member to a center for treatment (“Treatment and Drugs”). There are different types of therapy for a patient that suffering from Prescription Drug Abuse. The treatment is usually a 12-step program but there are other programs included. The types of therapy used is “Group Therapy” where they talk about their recovery with a group of people. Then there is “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy” where abusers talk about
