When I was thirty-three years old, I took a family vacation with my brother to Las Vegas, Nevada. The vacation was memorable in many ways. We had an awesome time and an exhausting time at the same time. As we touched down at the airport, we could see all the monumental hotels and casinos. We were full of excitement and anticipation. We exited the plane, and walked million miles to the baggage claim area, at the airport. We exited the airport and found our hotel shuttle. The shuttle dropped us off at the Riviera Hotel, which was situated along the Los Vegas Strip and directly across the street from the Circus-Circus Hotel and Casino. My brother and I were consistently asked about our membership status and what area we represented. We decided to lie and tell everyone we with Pre-Paid Legal. We did not feel like explaining we were the only people at the hotel, who were not there for the Pre-Paid Legal Convention. We ventured out onto the Las Vegas Strip from the Riviera and decided to walk all the way down the strip to the MGM Grand Hotel. It was several miles of walking at night. The MGM Grand Casino and offered free swag for signing up as a rewards member. We were so excited about getting the free swag, we signed up at every casino on strip for more swag. When we went to the New York New York Hotel we rode the roller coaster, and we also rode the roller coaster at the Sahara Hotel. We stopped at the Bellagio and watched the dancing fountains. We stopped at Treasure Island and saw the free pirate-oriented show, which was out front. We watched even saw a volcano erupt along the strip. We walked back to our hotel and could not believe the immensity of the hotels saw. We went to the M&M Store, Fat Burger and multiple souvenir shops. All of this happened our first night. We saw some structures on a hill above the dam and the driver explained those were gun emplacements during the Second World War. The dam was so vital, it was considered a target. We got to go down inside the dam and view the five story power converters. While inside the dam, I remember seeing tiny cracks where water was coming through, the tour guide said that was normal. We concluded the tour full of useless trivia knowledge and headed back to the hotel. I started feeling tired and my feet hurt. The walking through the airport, the walking on the strip and the walking at the dam started taking a toll. We still had more walking to do. We booked a Haunted Ghost Tour which would be that night. We began the tour walking through a hotel and the tour guide pointing out areas believed to be haunted. We loaded into a van. The bus driver took us to where Tupac was shot, Liberace’s House, the former house of Red Foxx, the Flamingo Hotel, and a park. These places were all believed to be haunted. We arrived back at the hotel. I called for the elevator and when the door opened a massive group of Pre-Paid Legal folks were getting off.
