Choosing what to become in the future is considerably easy but actually accomplishing that goal is a whole different story. It will be a long journey but will take many important decisions to get there. The first important decision is whether to go to college or not. Up until senior year in high school, students have access to all the help they need to get by. After high school is a new world, many students are on their own to get a chance to form their own life. Students must work hard to prepare themselves for the real world after high school because that is where it becomes more difficult which is why they should attend and work hard in college to have a secure future. Without college many people will have a hard time trying to get by in this world. Choosing to go to college will definitely benefit students because they will be able to strengthen their skills needed for their chosen career path and have more opportunities in life that will give a better chance of surviving in today's fast paced world.
As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect,” it is essentially the same when it comes to a certain job. They must practice their skills first so they will be ready to put them to use during real life situations. If they choose to go to college, students will be able to take courses that prepare them for their chosen profession. Thus, having the efficient tools and time to gradually strengthen the needed skills. Graduating with a B.A from Brandeis University and the Director of CUNY BA, Beth Kneller states that by going to college, students can have “exposure to a wide range of knowledge in different fields [that] allows college graduates to bring unexpected skills to a job” (Kneller). Not only does going to college strengthen m...

Since I grew up in a household with two parents who are college graduates, and even two grandparents who had graduated from college, the idea of attending college was never seen as a unique opportunity, but rather as a necessary part of my future. I’m not going to complain about growing up with parents who valued the pursuit of knowledge, but it certainly never exposed me to the mindset that maybe college is not the best option for everyone after high school. Today, there is a huge debate over if the price of college is really worth it in the end, with the high cost of tuition and the number of people who just aren’t prepared for the demands that college has to offer. And on the other side, some say that college is a necessity not just in one’s

They will have a better self esteem and a healthier lifestyle. College graduates in the future will a have a better life and better income. All of the experiences that college brings are designed to shape students as people to make them more proactive members of the modern society. In other words, college is where kids are made into men and women. In many ways it's also a trial by fire to see who has the right focus to make it through. These trials, scary as they may seem, all shape the graduates of today. Well the graduates anyways. “It forces you to grow up. It's just all about learning how to live on your own. I matured a ton and I still mature every day” (Paoli). College gives students the resources they need to survive in the modern world and so much
One question that comes to mind when graduating high school is, “should I attend college?” For many graduates this question have a very obvious answer. A high school graduate may state that, “college is the best option if one is trying to get a higher level of education, and will help one compete for a higher paying job.” However, in my opinion most graduates do not consider the fact that going to college is a very big decision to make and that the schoolwork will not be easy. Going to college is not the best choice for every high school graduate because many students cannot handle college, colleges’ lower standards, and not all jobs require a college degree.
Many students are faced with decision once they are about to graduate from high school. That decision is, “Is a college degree really worth it and is going to college what’s best for me?”. Looking back when I was graduating high school this was a tough decision for me and one that I regret making. A lot of the time you are about to graduate high school and you don’t know what you are going to do with the rest of your life and that makes going to school that much harder of a choice.
A college education gives a person the opportunity to be successful in life, either financially or morally dependent on the goals that they set for their life. They will choose a college that offers programs for the major of their choice, where they will specialize and receive a degree. The decision to pursue a higher education will give the opportunity to earn a better income than someone who does not have a degree. College is more of a life preparation course that will help make sure a successful career. If a person pursues a career in engineering, physics or mathematics their curriculum would include more liberal art preparation courses, in order for them to earn their degree, so someone pursuing a degree in these types of careers should attend college for job preparation.
Most people today think of college as simply a place to get a better education, or merely as a steppingstone to financial success. College is far more than that. College is an experience that shapes a person, which can have both positive and negative outcomes. It is all up to the students to make the college experience worth their time and effort. Students must realize the importance of the responsibilities now demanded of them by higher education.
College is a place for people to learn a career, but students need to be wary of which one they chose. These past few years and days I have noticed if you have a high school diploma or GED there is a very vague chance of getting a good productive job let alone a career. So some teachers and many other people that are in students lives pressure them to go to college. Those students become unhappy and the job they or their family chose for them may not be one in demand. Many of those graduates search for a job in the workforce, which many times turns out to do no good. Students in specific educational programs like applied associate of science programs
Having a college education is very beneficial for a person’s future. The degree itself is not the most beneficial aspect of a person’s success in the future nor is the type or rank of school attended will be most beneficial. The education received throughout the years in college will be the most beneficial reward in a student’s life. The education a person receives from a college experience is not only the textbook education or the education provided by the professors but also the real-life experiences. The real-life experience benefits are what will truly matter in the future. A few specific benefits from a college education are the life experiences, the commitment to someone/something other than yourself, the skills achieved such as time management and organization, and also the self-sufficiency a person profits. College is also a great time to find yourself through the chaos of balancing life and maintaining passing grades. “Another one of the many benefits of a college education is meeting others from distant places with diverse backgrounds.” (McGuire) In high school, students do not have the wide range of people from different backgrounds. In college, students are introduced to everything new to life and along with that comes other students from different areas of life. Going to college and having the

Life After High School I’ve just entered my senior year of high school. I know that this is a very important year. I have a lot of decisions to make and not much time to make them. These decisions will either make or break my life, and I want to make sure that I make them to the best of my ability, because there is no turning back. I need to make sure I definitely want to attend college.
Many people who go to college understand that their earning potential is increased because of their knowledge and experience. Having a higher earning potential is a great benefit because earning more money is something that people love to do. People understand that they will receive a higher salary than those who only have a high school degree throughout their career; this is because going to college helps to further knowledge of a particular area of study that they have chosen and to broaden the mind to be able to improve communication skills.
As a matter of fact, there are some good benefits by going to college, “In Tyler Cowen view, “the wage differential between college graduates and high school graduates- the college premium- is growing.” In other words, Cowen believes that should help students understand about college degree is massively high paying and in the end, they won’t regret going to college. The more knowledge a person has, the more benefits the person will gain during the workforce experience. One of the good benefit is to stay strong connection to the
