Choosing what to become in the future is considerably easy but actually accomplishing that goal is a whole different story. It will be a long journey but will take many important decisions to get there. The first important decision is whether to go to college or not. Up until senior year in high school, students have access to all the help they need to get by. After high school is a new world, many students are on their own to get a chance to form their own life. Students must work hard to prepare themselves for the real world after high school because that is where it becomes more difficult which is why they should attend and work hard in college to have a secure future. Without college many people will have a hard time trying to get by in this world. Choosing to go to college will definitely benefit students because they will be able to strengthen their skills needed for their chosen career path and have more opportunities in life that will give a better chance of surviving in today's fast paced world.
As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect,” it is essentially the same when it comes to a certain job. They must practice their skills first so they will be ready to put them to use during real life situations. If they choose to go to college, students will be able to take courses that prepare them for their chosen profession. Thus, having the efficient tools and time to gradually strengthen the needed skills. Graduating with a B.A from Brandeis University and the Director of CUNY BA, Beth Kneller states that by going to college, students can have “exposure to a wide range of knowledge in different fields [that] allows college graduates to bring unexpected skills to a job” (Kneller). ...many opportunities in one's life. College should be viewed as an experience that will be beneficial in today's world because it is very hard to get by with the present circumstances.
