Today's human society is rather vulgar and egotistical. People think that the world revolves around them and that they can do and say whatever they hanker. They assume that what they do doesn't influence other people. They couldn't be more inaccurate.
In reality, most of the world couldn't care less what the self-absorbed people did, but those closer to him or her would be more greatly affected.
I believe that there are evil people in the world because there couldn’t be someone in the world that is devoted to God that does evil things on purpose. There are some people that don’t believe in God, but they most probably know that there are consequences for doing bad things. I believe that God would do everything in His power to stop people from doing bad without taking away their free will. Some people would just ignore all of God’s signs to stop, and would continue to do evil. A person that purposely ignores and refuses to accept God in order to do very bad things on purpose has to be truly evil or mentally challenged. People who turn away from God have to be evil because they don’t want to go to heaven and have eternal life with God. If somebody does evil on purpose, they obviously don’t love God, and they have been tricked by Satan. They have been tricked into thinking that worshipping Satan is the way to live life, even though it is not.
Doing evil also has consequences that the majority of people know about. People could go to jail for very short time periods such as about three or four weeks or very long time periods such as twenty years. Some people might think jail might be a good thing if they are homeless and get very, very little to eat because in jail they have a bed and a meal three times a day, so that would be good mo...

In conclusion, I believe that there are truly evil people in the world, and that, even though nobody is born evil, people can still become evil. People who are evil obviously don’t want to follow God’s ways, and they just want something. They have been tricked by Satan into thinking that they are doing is the right thing to do, when, in reality, it is the wrong thing to do. People who are truly evil don’t care about doing good, and couldn’t care less about doing something wrong or incorrect. They couldn’t care less about the people they are murdering, stealing from, or other forms of crime. The only thing that evil people care about is whatever they are doing, and not being caught by the police. They couldn’t care less what the effects of what they are doing are.
The Pope has agreed to help defend the Byzantine Empire! After being appealed to by Emperor Alexius I Comnenus, in 1095, Pope Urban II assembled the Council of Clermont. In order to help the Byzantine Empire and ensure his power over the church he has decided to call for a military expedition to get back the Holy Land.
Evil can be a scary thing many things can influence on why a person may be considered evil or do evil things.People do things because they were influenced by others or by their own selfish desires,
With the hindsight of the 1960s, it is easy for us to view how influencers of the era have reformed and revitalised the Christian tradition to a great extent. Because of this hindsight of the 1960s, an era in which the zeitgeist was full of intellectuals, poets, musicians and authors, we can see the traditions of Christianity were considered to be backward to a world that was changing in terms of beliefs and ethics as society embraced these social reforms. The statement then clearly reflects Pope John XXIII and his impacts on Catholicism. Pope John XXIII recognized these changes and through his leadership, the impacts he had on Christianity had a substantially large influence over the Catholic Church as he ultimately altered the Christian tradition by creating the Vatican II. By doing so, he adjusted traditional Church Scriptures (ressourcement), involved himself with promoting ecumenicalism and also interfaith-dialogue as well as becoming engaged in the modern world (aggiornamento), therefore meeting the needs of the evolving society by revitalising the old traditions.
It is amazing how much political and military supremacy the papacy position gained when the Crusades began. The First Crusade (1096-1099) was a military expedition initiated by Pope Urban the II to regain the Holy Lands in Jerusalem from the Muslim conquest. The Pope gave a speech requesting military action against Muslim takeover to the French people of Clermont. The speech eventually propagated to other nations for further recruitment. Urban’s political and military involvement helped regain the Holy Lands and save the Christian Crusaders souls. His famous speech changed the course of history in part because its dissemination was overly successful, and assembled over 40,000 Crusaders to do the will of God. Why was Pope Urban II so victorious in recruiting people for the First Crusade, and why was his influence so important?
There are two kinds of evil, moral and natural. Moral evil is things like murder, rape, stealing, terrorism, etc. Natural evil is things like suffering and unpleasantness typically as a result of moral evil. Evil is that which has no power of its own. Evil is darkness, a negation of light. Its power is in us, in our fear of it, in that we consider it a "something" worth responding to.
I still believe that people can be evil, but people can also be cleansed. I
Evil is to be morally wrong, bad, wicked, and a whole bunch of other synonyms that all boil into one pot. There is so much to this word that it’s almost impossible to pinpoint someone as truly evil. To be evil for no other reason than to be evil would be the worst possible evil. Adolf Hitler and Osoma bin Laden believe the evil they committed was justified by God, or some higher power. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, from the play by Shakespeare, were not evil because they wanted to be, they did it for a greater good.
Theology has played a strong role in defining evil for thousands of years. The Bible teaches Christians that Satan is evil, and not to follow his teachings. Evil as a concept in Christianity developed in the third and fourth centuries. During that time, St. Augustine determined that "Evil is the privation, or absence, of good, as darkness is the absence of light." (Funk&Wagnalls19) In modern times, theology has had a difficult time defending the existence of God in light of the many atrocities that have occurred in the last 100 years, such as the Holocaust, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the ethnic cleansing of Kosovo. As a result, theology is now having to redefine what evil is.
Evil is in the eyes of the beholder, if you are a Theist you believe that evil is wrong and God is all powerful and is able to rid the world of its evil. Though he does not because he gives us the free will to decide whether or not follows the ways of evil. If you view evil as the way David Hume views evil then you believe that since there is evil in the world by evidence then there must not be a God otherwise he would rid the world of the evil and not make people suffer and since he does not then there is no God.
The dialogue provided by Demea, Cleanthes and Philo all conflict on the nature of God, but none of them conflict on the presence of a God. Thus, the fact of evil, to me, does not provide grounds for not believing in God, but instead provides grounds for reinterpreting Gods nature. I agree with Philo in that in order for God to coexist with evil, he must be lacking goodness. While this distances us from God, it does not call into question his
Every civilization in history has had rules, and citizens who break them. To this day governments struggle to figure out the best way to deal with their criminals in ways that help both society and those that commit the crimes. Imprisonment has historically been the popular solution. However, there are many instances in which people are sent to prison that would be better served for community service, rehab, or some other form of punishment. Prison affects more than just the prisoner; the families, friends, employers, and communities of the incarcerated also pay a price. Prison as a punishment has its pros and cons; although it may be necessary for some, it can be harmful for those who would be better suited for alternative means of punishment.
I personally believe that evil is within all of us, but in American religious culture we call it sin, and in american culture we do not even have a name for the little evils, the little sins we do every day. Being disrespectful is something that is associated with rudeness, but it is also associated with teenagers. Lying is something that we try not to do, but it is associated with little children. Breaking the law is illegal, yet adults who drive get pulled over everyday. All these things, are sins that we do not name in American culture. In religious culture, we call it sinning. Within the Catholic Church, we are all human meaning we are all sinners. They are commutative. It is within us to be evil, to act evil, to be the adjective form of evil, but that does not mean that we are evil, the noun sense. We may act small evils, but that does not make us fully evil, that makes us human. Those documented in history as “pawns of Satan,” decided to act on that ability to do evil, and in World culture, we declared them the noun form of
Are people evil or is their behaviors that or evil? I believe that people are evil because you can control your action and how you act towards other people.
At first, we should have a clear definition about god if we want to figure about whether the fact of evil count against the proposition that god exist. From the theory of Anselm and Aquinas, God is that than which nothing greater can be conceived. God is the cause of being, and goodness, and of every perfection in all existing things (Fieser and Pojman, 205). In conclusion, god is perfect, all-good, omniscient, and omnipotent. If god is like Anselm and Aquinas described, the fact of evil is a good argument to count against the proposition that god exist. We can see evil in reality, but no one has ever seen god in reality. God did not create a world without evil, and god did not extinguish evil.
In our world today, we come across all sorts of people. Some you see do evil actions and some you see do good actions. The person doing a good action might be a psychotic killer-- you never know. The other person doing the evil action, could be a priest. Not everything you see people do shows what type of person they really are inside. These people may look one way on the outside, but the world can change the way they see the world and their ultimate actions. Regardless of how someone seems, they are consistently changing because of the evil energies of the world. Humans are all born good and pure, although as we grow up we are corrupted by the evil world around us.
