Point of View/arguments For closing the park
Point of View/arguments Against closing the park
Kids get hurt all the time. If there are too many kids getting hurt. The company of Newmarket that builds all of our stuff, Could potentially get sued. That is a way of shutting down the park. Indeed we all hopefully don’t want kids to get injured. Our main priority in building parks/Having them is the side effect that kids also stay safe at the same time! No need to have structures that aren't safe. Get riddofem. (My personal saying.)
It keeps kids away from the electronics. Does it take a lot to just go outside and begin walking or having some kind of transport to a park? Just to enjoy the fact that there is things more effective/good for your
body than Video Games.? I don’t think so.. It feels easy to exercise when you have a park. You don’t need to buy those expensive treadmills and things to work out. The expensive things are good for you, But you have to think about if your enjoying it at the same time. Playgrounds are very good for exercise. And they are fun. So that explains why it is a good idea to keep the playground. The park is getting old. So a closing or a remodel would be necessary. If the metal gets rusty for the structure, The wildlife could possibly knock it down. That could lead to potential injury. It is kids priority to keep themselves active. So that means all the Monkey bars, And swings help with that. That means it would be a bad idea to let the Beautiful park shut down. The wildlife is getting ruined by new structures, Property demolition, Or even Infestation of property. So it would affect the way the structure holds as from the past. Another idea why Closing The Park would be a idea to keep in mind is that, this is such an “effective” Subject. the natural life that is at the “Parks” would get left. And the wildlife keeps us living. Therefore we should give-back to the wildlife that made our world the way it is today. That proves that it isn't a good idea to shut down parks. The % that the wildlife will get destroyed and will never rise again, Or just come back us. if we shut down the parks, Is very high. Not a good idea to shut down the park that all kids love today.
According to the articles "Tear Down the Swing Sets" by John Tierney and "Can a Playground Be Too Safe" by Nicholas Day many changes have been done to playground designs for many reasons like creative risks, lawsuits, and child safety. Playgrounds used to be fun, exciting and riskful but now due to playground design they are safe, yet boring.
In this short essay Bill Daly begins by telling us that he will be assessing arguments to keep marine parks open and he will be point out reasons why they actually don’t carry any weight. The overall conclusion that daily made in this essay was that marine parks should no longer be kept open because they are useless and in some ways can be considered to be animal cruelty or no new animals should be captured for their uses. In the essay I found that there were four major premises that can clearly be found. The first major premises can be found in the second paragraph, where it says that ‘there are many more locations where the marine life can be found naturally compared to marine parks’ (Bill Daly, para 2). The second premise was located in the third paragraph, where the Daly tells us the ‘by moving the marine life out of its natural habitat we are affecting their behaviour and making any research that is conducted on them unreliable when it comes to their natural behaviour’ (para 3). The third major premise that I found was in the fourth paragraph, where it says that the ‘parks could be considered tourist attractions but a majority of tourists come to see wildlife in its natural habitat and not in cages’ (para 4). The fourth and final premise that I found was in the fifth paragraph, in this paragraph Daly says that ‘the parks can be cruel to the animals they hold because they put a restriction the freedom they would normally have in the wild’ (para 5). In the end I believe that Daly has created a good inductive argument against the use and creation of marine parks.
The lack of playgrounds gave my friend and I the opportunity to create games and scenarios out of thin air. Alondra and I could be zookeepers chasing after our favorite animals or space explorers who eventually discover an alien race! Not having playgrounds forced Alondra and I to open our minds and that lead to endless possibilities of fun. Imagination has a colossal effect on a child’s mind as they grow into adults. Stimulating your imagination when you are young can lead to out of the box thinking which can benefit a child’s learning.
In conclusion, the author has given a common issue in our society, which is safety for children. Although the debate tends to replace all traditional equipment on children's playgrounds, it still causes us to think more about how to develop children in the perfect way. Do we need to keep children too safe? And this point is the success of the writer because his article is viable and very comprehensive to the intended audience, providing balance as well. By expressing the opposing ideas of two sides in the argument, the readers actually have the chance to give their own
Finally, using electronics changes the behavior of people. According to Matt Richtel from, The New York Times, in his article, Attached to Technology and Paying a Price, he shows information that says, “scientists say juggling email, phone calls, and other incoming information can change how people think and behave.” This piece of information from Matt Richtel’s article justifies my claim of having schools participate in “Shut Down Your Screen Week.” For example, when students are at home using their electronics and their parents ask them to do something, they get mad and deny doing it. This can affect students’ behavior around others while using electronics.
In the park written by Gwen Harwood, was originally written under a male pseudonym. The poem represents the idea of changing identity because of certain circumstances as well as challenging common ideas, paradigms and values & beliefs which is commonly held amongst mothers in today’s society.
One reason is because it helps parents have a sense of security with knowing where their children are at all times. For example, if your child goes to a friends house, a cell phone could be handy if in any case there is an emergency, you are able to contact your child right away or vise versa. Also, if a child moves from one place to another and his/her parent goes looking for them at the place he/she

Times have changed and due to this new technological era that we live in, children are spoiled with various types as well as numerous electronic devices. Although these advances are rewarding, they are detrimental to the youth. From xbox to television watching children spend more time trapped in their house, t...
According to The Huffington Post, people are on their devices for, on average, about eleven hours and fifty-two minutes a day. That is almost half a day and a lot longer than most people sleep or work. People have not yet realized how they or their families are being affected by this constant use of technology. As a result of technology increasing, children are experiencing health problems, school issues, and social problems. First and foremost, health problems due to the increase in technology usage is becoming a bigger issue than one might think.
...many benefits for us, but it is not really needed all the time. Maybe in some situations for people technology is needed every day in their lives. But the fact is that people don’t really need all these new gadgets, they didn’t have all of this kind of stuff back in the day, and they still mad it through. Education is being helped by technology and sometimes just giving the student the answer. Later on though it can affect the student when a more difficult situation comes, they will not know what to do.
First, I’m going to tell you about the negative effects. It causes obesity in both children and dults. Studies show that technology is the main activity people spend their time doing. They really should be worried about their loss of exercise, instead of technology. With a video game, cell phone, television, or a computer in someone’s face, they don’t worry about their health, jobs, or school. Also it impairs their vision. With a bright light in their eyes constantly, it cause their eye strength to weaken. Technology has so many negative effects. I could go on all day about them. Technology too kids seems like the most amazing thing in the world, but the truth is technology is hurting our society . Does anybody realize that? No they don’t because if they did, then they would quit enventing more and more of it each day.
In our present society, people cannot deny that the changes in this world have been tied to the advancement of the technology. It has evolved with this society so deeply where such conveniences are no longer luxuries but rather necessities. Unfortunately, the most affected group of people from the developed technology is the younger age people (Subrahmanyam, 2000). In the past, children were more lively and active: playing outdoors, running around, climbing trees and remaining active rather than watching television and playing video game and computer. It is true that the use of the technology has its own virtue. It provides value, convenience and entertainment, but it should not take the place of movement and realistic play from the children. Obviously, modern technology such as television, digital game, cell phone, and computer should be considered as a major fact, which contributing to negative health problems in children.
