It's the home of numerous lakes, rivers, and waterways. Including Lady Bird Lake, Barton Springs, Mckinney Falls, The Colorado River, Lake Travis, and Lake Walter E. Long. Austin has amazing weather. This climate is typified by very long, hot summers; short, mild winters; and warm transitional seasons in between. In Pigeon Forge you have nice hot summers and cold snowy winters. It also rains allot, which is nice since I enjoy rainy weather. During the winters, the mountains surrounding Pigeon Forge are capped with snow and in the spring the snow melts and creates beautiful streams which run down the mountain into rivers. These are some of the most beautiful attractions in Pigeon Forge and one of my favorite things to go see when we vacation there. " Every season in Pigeon Forge is a beautiful work of art that only a perfect God could create."

Texas is a unique place with a colorful history of legendary cowboys and tall tales. The state stretches over the middle section of the southern United States. When looking at the vast lands of Texas after the Civil War, many different people came to the lands in search for new opportunities and new wealth. Many were lured by the large area that Texas occupied for they wanted to become ranchers and cattle herders, of which there was great need for due to the large population of cows and horses. In this essay there are three different people with three different goals in the adventures on the frontier lands of Texas in its earliest days. Here we have a woman's story as she travels from Austin to Fort Davis as we see the first impressions of West Texas. Secondly, there is a very young African American who is trying his hand at being a horse rancher, which he learned from his father. Lastly we have a Mexican cowboy who tries to fight his way at being a ranch hand of a large ranching outfit.
Originally named Misión San Antonio de Valero, the Alamo served as home to missionaries and their Indian converts for nearly seventy years. Construction began on the present site in 1724. In 1793, Spanish officials sectioned off San Antonio's five missions and distributed their lands to the remaining Indian residents. These men and women continued to farm the fields — once the mission's but now their own — and participated in the growing community of San Antonio.

The Harris County courthouse is a beautiful and historic building in the heart of downtown Houston. With courthouses being a very important monument for the counties they are also valuable pieces of history that we can learn many things from. After the renovation of the Harris County courthouse the history of the courthouse is going to increase so much more in my opinion. Without John Richardson Harris and the Allen brothers the city of Houston and Harris County would not be what it is today.
My first experience with Texas was around 1983 when I visited the state. I was traveling quite extensively at that time and most of Texas was included in those travels. I had previously been in several other states in our nation but none seemed to compare to the great State of Texas. Things were just different in Texas. The people were different, the culture was different and the image of Texas, portrayed by the people, past and present is equal to no others.
Have you ever been to Texas? I have been once. My trip to Texas was unbelievably awesome. I saw many of things on my way there. While we were there, I had loads of fun. Many things happened while we were there. Texas was the coolest place I have ever been.
Texas architecture reflects a remarkable variety of cultural influences, physiographical conditions, and technological advancements. Over a long period of colonization and settlement, people of different nationalities with ingrained customs and taste erected a variety of buildings in forms recalling their social backgrounds. In the beginning, materials of construction naturally came from the locale of buildings, although eventually technology and taste produced certain similarities of design throughout the state. For analysis, historic Texas architecture can be organized into six periods: Indian or pre-colonial (to 1682), Spanish colonial-Mexican (1682–1835), Republic-antebellum (1835–61), Victorian (1861–1900), Early twentieth century (1900–1941), and Modern (1941–90). Plano was first incorporated in 1873, and the bulk of its development came during the Modern period.
