New inventions in the medical field have always been coming out to provide a better life quality for many people but when the product is first being used on you it can be frightening. Nineteen years ago I was the first patient to use the PillCam which is a camera pill that goes through your digestive system and takes many pictures. I remember that day on how doubtful I was in using this product when fear shadowed over me and my heart started pounding. This left a mark in my life because not only did the PillCam helped me but I was the first step for many people to take to save their lives. When I got inside in the huge building many people walked gracefully in black suit attires in various directions. As I look around me I see crystal clear glass surrounding me delicately cleaned with a nice soft towel leaving no streaks in the glass. Awed at the view of the building a man in glasses with a beard comes up to me telling me that he’s my gastroenterologist and he escorts me to his office. When I arrived at the gastroenterologist’s office he ran through a series of tests trying to determine my problem eventually he told me that he can’t see what’s going on in my lower abdomen and no procedure can be used to look inside. However, he suggested me trying the new invention called the PillCam that would allow him to see inside my stomach by just drinking a pill. The idea seemed fascinating but at the same time petrifying because I would the first person to use it, however, I must know my problem because it might get worse in the future. I took the decision to take the camera pill, as I hold it delicately with my fingertips like if it was an atomic bomb I put it in my mouth with a cup of water and drank it. A sigh of relief released from my body unknowingly that my muscles were tense from fear but I was still not done with this procedure I still had to wait and see if the PillCam was
