I didn’t hear or witness any individual feedback. The instructor focuses on encouragement, so the participants can feel good during and afterwards the class. The instructor did ask for feedback as a group on how they were feeling and if there were any concerns to talk to her. Oasis Senior Center does evaluate their staff and provides surveys for participants to have an insight of their experiences. It is very important to evaluate the instructor and receive feedback from participants to assure the welfare of the participants. …show more content…
This class is a beginner class which would be great for those seniors who do not have experience in exercise. Also, to those individuals who want to minimize their pain and regain their functional movements. This class offers variety of exercises that focus on regaining stability, flexibility, strength and balance, which I think is very important among the senior population. Moreover, this class is a low-impact fitness class that is easy to the body compared to other weight-bearing classes. To be honest I have never attended a Pilates class and found it interesting; with the use of a mat and stretch bands older adult can have a workout that is very beneficial to their

In conclusion I feel that using effective assessment methods throughout any course allows tutors to give feedback at the right time to allow the correct progress for the learners to achieve. I have experienced feedback many times as coach and more recently as a teacher and feel it has only helped me to improve and to keep wanting to improve so I can inspire others to achieve.

Pilates was originally designed for rehabilitation for people that had injuries. Because of this, the exercise regimen incorporated slow and non-impact movements of the body.
My teaching subject area and anticipated grade level: Physical Education in a High School setting.
Also, continually seek feedback from my preceptor has been crucial. Learning from my previous experiences, I have realized that a balance of ongoing constructive, and appreciative feedback has a very positive impact on both my learning, and confidence level. Therefore, during my first meeting with my preceptor, I discussed how important her feedback is to me, which has ensured that throughout my preceptorship I have received detailed, and timely

In addition, my post graduate studies in gerontology have facilitated me in having a thorough understanding of the aging process and the biological and psychological aspects that need to be considered while caring for the elderly. However, despite having these abilities and the requisite qualifications, I realize that I must imbibe better competencies in physical therapy because of the need to become well versed with the functions, physiology, and anatomy of the human body. Consequently, my interest in physical therapy has increased tremendously, which is why I wish to pursue the course of physical therapy at the University of St Augustine. The course will enhance my skills in caring for the elderly and meeting their physiological needs more effectively.
The evaluation form that was used to evaluate a classroom teacher’s performance is a rubric used by the school district (Hillsborough County Public Schools, 2012).
The school that I visited was new. It was the first year of the school opening. The school board had combined two schools into one, so the students had to adjust to their new environments and new individuals. They seemed to be getting along well with each other. Since the school is new the teacher has to adjust to new problems that araise. Times for the subjects and times for using the computer labs change. So the teacher must always be fixable for anything. In this observation of this classroom I learned about the enjoyment of teaching. How you have to adapt to each of the students.
I attended a second grade class at Smallville Elementary on February 22, 2014; the class began promptly at 0855. There are 26 children in this second grade class. There are 15 male students and 11 female students. The student diversity is 2 Hispanics, 1 African-American, 1 East Indian, and 1 New Zealander (White but with an extreme accent). Three children were left-handed.
The students that I observed in the classroom were of middle to high school. I went to see 8th, freshman, 10th , and seniors classes, they seemed excited and very curious to why I was there. The middle school was more alive and rambunctious while I observed them. The High school kids were more relaxed, more comical. Some were paying attention while others seemed tuned out to the lecture or involved in socialization with friends within the class. By the end of the class Mr. Hasgil had restored the attention of everyone by using tactics such as history jeopardy with candy as the prize with the high school kids. In both he middle school and high school the kids were mostly Caucasian with a mixture of black, Asian , and Hispanic in the classes.
Experiences of Walking and Jogging Course When I discovered that exercise courses are a required part of a degree program, I was less than thrilled. I decided to go walking and jogging because I reasoned everyone can walk. I was unaware of how much adding a walking routine to my schedule would change my everyday life. Since starting this course, I have noticed some health improvements, found a way to get my family involved, and learned to schedule exercise into my basic routine.
Class participation was great everyone joined in on the discussion. People in the class felt comfortable talking out loud and putting there two sense in.
