Physics of Snowboarding The snowboard is made of multiple layers and comes in several shapes (flexible to stiff) that snowboarders use according to their style. The Physics of the Curve Ball Dad said that one of these days I would figure it out, but to this day I am still clueless. I have always been able to throw a decent curve ball; you don’t just throw 6 one hit games in your high school career without one. I have always wondered why and how the ball curves through the air, and it wasn’t until now that I have really had the chance to research a topic that has puzzled me for so long. I would bet that even pitchers in the “Big show” don’t know how or why, but they obviously have the talent and ability. I don’t know when the first curveball was thrown or who threw it, but there is a lot of controversy out there about whether or not the curveball really exists.

When I was eight my sister, who was a snowboarder, had tried to convince me to learn how to snowboard but I did not consider it once. She is about five years older than me and has much more experience in snowboarding as I had not yet learnt. Yet there I was about to change my life forever or so I thought. It took me about three years to learn the basics and add my own personal touch to my snowboarding. The one reason I continued to train was because of my sister. She meant so much to me and to this day still does. Those years I felt like she was all I had, until I realized everyone back at home was also cheering for me. She was the one who had offered to show me the magnificent art that we call snowboarding. She was the one who would aid me to victory and be at the finish waiting for me as I completed my final run. The main aspect of rock climbing is gravity. Gravity is what every rock climber faces every time they scale a wall. There are several forces involving rock climbing and they include friction, tensional force, and, of course, gravity.
Skiing and snowboarding are two very different sports, that have evolved and morphed together to define an entire global industry and are now tantamount as salt and pepper. Skiing was popularized decades before the conception of snowboarding however, snowboarding was conceptualized in part, by skiing. Skiing became a mainstay when it was introduced to the Olympics, it quickly grew to dominate winter sports all over the world. The world was shocked when snowboarding made its way onto the Olympics roster and was perplexed by the influence it carried. The two sports were at war from the beginning, clashing in every possible way. As skiing and snowboarding grew and evolved, so did the winter sports industry. These sports spawned a new generation of athletes, with new trends and ideas, which have completely resuscitated the snow sports industry.
