Dear Laurel Kate, It has recently come to my attention that I have won a trip to either Hawaii or Alaska, you are invited to join me. Imagine swimming with the colorful fish in the ocean. Picture the breathtaking views of volcanoes, sunsets, and oceans that you will see in Hawaii. Visualize the amazing taste of the cultural food of Hawaii. This could happen if we decide to visit Hawaii. You may think that Hawaii is not a good place to travel to for a vacation. However, I believe that it will be a great place for our vacation for many reasons such as Hawaii has many outdoor activities, it is filled with outstanding scenery, and it has a unique cultural life. To begin with, Hawaii has many outdoor activities. I mean, while in Hawaii we can go hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, or swimming. We can have an adventure-filled vacation if we visit Hawaii. In the text “Hawaii: The 50th State” it states, “The warm climate makes Hawaii perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.“ It also adds “The miles of sand along with crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.” You might assume that Hawaii is all about relaxing on the beach; however, that isn’t true. Let me explain what this means. Throughout the islands, you will see beautiful beaches, breathtaking sunsets, and captivating ocean views. We might even get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a volcano erupt. If we visit Alaska, we won’t have the chance to see a volcano erupt. In the picture on “Source 4:” it shows pictures of the shoreline, a beautiful street, and the clear ocean surrounding Hawaii. You might think that Alaska has better scenery than Hawaii.
