There are few things that can draw a good crowd like a fireworks show . Watching the skies light up with dazzling colors and designs at a festival , or lighting your own in the backyard, can bring people together . But that beautiful spectacle could come at a cost to our environment and our health .In this essay I will explain why fireworks should be banned from in all forms of use . The first reason why fireworks should be illegal is they can cause air pollution .Every July 4, the 14,000 fireworks launched across the nation have a toxic effect on our atmosphere. A new NOAA study shows they temporarily increase particulate pollution by an average of 42 percent. The smoke from fireworks consists mainly of fine toxic particles that can easily enter the lungs. Exposure to firework …show more content…
The professional-grade explosives scared red-winged blackbirds and European starlings out of their nests and sent them into panicked flight. The night-blind birds crashed into houses, signs, and other obstacles, causing blunt-force trauma and death. The third reason , fireworks cause property damage because they are a danger at causing fires. Every year, a building is engulfed in flames because of fireworks that have gotten onto their roof and started a fire which soon got out of control .The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) releases annual fireworks report, which details fire and injury dangers related to consumer fireworks .In 2011, fireworks caused an estimated 17,800 reported fires, including 1,200 structure fires, 400 vehicle fires, and 16,300 outside and other fires. These fires resulted in an estimated 40 civilian injuries and $32 million in direct property damage. Fourth reason, you have the danger of personal injury due to recklessness . Fireworks are made to burn and/or explode , children and intoxicated citizens are the most susceptible to injury when they

Do people honestly want to ruin lives? Humans, all over the world today, argue whether or not balloons should be banned because apparently they are dangerous. No! Balloons should not be banned! Balloons brighten lives.
One of the most heavily debated subjects today in the United States is guns. Over the last few years, mass shootings and spree shootings have been covered widely in the media. It leaves many Americans wondering how we can just sit by and let this happen. However, this is no easy task to attempt to solve or something that will just go away overnight. Taking away the guns won 't solve anything or just fix the problem as a whole. The United States constitution not only protects, but guarantees the right to bear arms as an American citizen. Why should we let the acts of a few sick and mentally ill ruin the right for the rest of law abiding citizens. The focus should center more around tougher background checks and mental health. Many Americans,
Violence in the United States is a major problem, but our politicians only want to focus on gun violence, and some of them believe the solution to ending gun violence is by preventing law abiding citizens from exercising their second amendment rights. Guns are easier to commit a crime with than other weapons, or without a weapon at all, but with an estimated 270 million guns the hands of citizens (11 facts), if they were the problem we would know it by now. It is undeniable that guns are responsible for a high amount of crime, but we already have tens of thousands of gun laws in the United States (How many gun laws are there?), that haven’t been able to curb gun violence. If the current laws were working, then maybe there would be a reasonable
Imagine having a loved one with cancer, organ damage, nervous system disorders, or your child having birth defects. Imagine running out of clean water because the only water available is capable of catching fire. Imagine oil in rivers and animals losing their homes. See yourself caught in an earthquake where there should not be one. All of this is increased by fracking and can be prevented. The question is should fracking continue or should it be banned.
The release of the hazardous material or exposure to the fire that ensues results in the need to evacuate 25 or more people
What will happen if the government makes gun control laws stricter? That’s the question that every NRA supporter and gun enthusiast wants to know. What can we do to help, As in what we should do to help with this problem, more laws, less laws, or better laws? While Not all gun laws are bad, some laws are hurting people and need to be changed. Also gun free zones are a target for shootings and needs to be changed. People don 't know the real truth about gun related violence and that guns are not the problem.

In 2010 12,996 people were murdered. So that means we need to put a ban on assault rifles, to bring down the number of deaths. Actually only 358 were committed with a rifle.
Cigarettes are one of the most common killers known to mankind. Cigarettes kill about 6 million people every year, and that number isn’t going to go down in less we do something about it. Smoking in the twentieth century killed only 100 million people, whereas a billion could die in our century. There are several more reasons why we should ban cigarettes, and I am going list them.
Every year tobacco is responsible for over 480,000 deaths. That includes people who have died from secondhand smoke. When statistics like this exist it is hard to understand why tobacco is still legal. This number increases every year that passes and most people believe it isn’t shrinking anytime soon. Tobacco should be banned because it’s deadly to not only the users, it’s highly addictive, and the tobacco industry is corrupting information promoting its harmful product. Society shouldn’t have to deal with anymore premature deaths due to a lethal legal product. We should work towards getting this useless product banned everywhere.
Cigarettes are so addictive, so why are they still legal today? The effects of smoking on a person and around that person are so extreme and harmful that smoking should not be legal for anyone. It really amazes me why anybody would smoke and harm their body if they knew how bad it can harm their health, and potentially cause death. Not only is smoking just unhealthy, the bigger problem is that smoking can lead to death. Smoking should be made illegal since there are many negative and dangerous consequences such as secondhand, and thirdhand smoke related illnesses, health risks to the smoker, and health risks to people around the smoker. Although, if cigarettes were made illegal people that are employed by Cigarette industries would lose their
Adults more than likely most frequently set fires for monetary gain – such as insurance fraud but other reasons also abound (Bartol & Bartol). Revenge, vandalism, crime concealment or diversion, intimidation, terrorism, and sabotage are all reasons why fires are set. Many of th...
Arson is the malicious and intentional setting of fire to a building, house, business, forest, vehicles, and other properties. This type of arson motivated by vandalism is common to many juvenile offenders between 10-14 years of age (Radell Smith, Jan 26, 2010, Yahoo Voices), usually as a result of peer pressure or some type of gang initiation. Most type of arsonists don't typically live very far from where they commit their crimes. Commonly, they know the area really well where arson has been committed.
