Zoos have been used for many years as protection for rare animals and great child entertainment but, are they really taking good care of these animals? Are they losing their natural instincts? Although zoos are fun for children they should not keep animals in them because, not all animals are properly taken care of everyday, many animals die because of wrong living conditions, and it changes the animals behavior. Not all animals can get feed everyday while they are in the zoo. It cost a lot of money to buy all that food for each animal and time to feed each one therefore, there’s just not enough time and money to feed every animal everyday. These animals have to go one or two days without eating or maybe even water. Although most zoos have more than enough employees to feed all these animals there is not enough food for each animal two times everyday. Endangered animals and unknown species are found and rescued everyday however, if they are so unknown we can easily confuse living environments and mistakes like that can lead to death. Although, many zookeepers take the time to find out the correct living conditions they can still mess up the food sources causing starvation. If these animals are being really being rescued then why are we putting them back in risky situations? Animals are being locked up in a cage and are forgetting or never even learning what should be their natural instinct. Animals in zoos won’t know how to hunt for food or how to fend for themselves. If they are locked up long enough they could become very dangerous and kill someone or escape. Although, zoos are very secure it is very possible for the cage to break or be opened. We have zoos to protect people and other species but, we are still putting ourselves as well as others in a lot of
