Immunizations is something people hear a lot about mostly in the fall when companies such as Walgreens start advertising for flu shots. There is more to vaccinations than just flu shots once a year. Children start getting vaccinations as early as a few hours old and the vaccinations continues through age 18. For children to be allowed to go to daycare centers and school’s parents must show vaccination records. Also, the Center of Disease control and your children’s pediatrician will make up a schedule of what vaccinations will be given at what visit, some babies leave the office with 4+ shots. Vaccinations are a drug that is being given into the Child’s muscle. Do you know what’s in that shot before your child or yourself receives a vaccination? …show more content…
The first days of a baby’s life should be learning to adapt to the new environment that they are brought into. Breastfeeding helps a baby’s immune systems build up, yet some mothers choose formula and that’s their choice. Yet letting a baby build their own immune system up by not vaccinating early is frowned upon. Within a few hours of birth, a child receives their first dose of Hepatis B. I tried to refuse Greycelan’s and was told it’s a mandatory vaccination. I’m sure I could have pushed it further, but I didn’t. Parents believe nurses and doctors and don’t educate themselves because we trust them to do what’s best for us and our children. Yet why can’t a baby be allowed to build up natural immunities before putting poison and fake antibodies into them? Ava has had 5 vaccinations at one time. I do not believe that any child or person for that matter should receive more than 2 vaccinations per visit, with at least a month in-between. You are putting live virus’ into a body and that body’s immune system is now on high alert and in panic mode. Why put it under more stress by adding a bunch of combo vaccinations and shots into one visit? Combo vaccinations are a newer form of vaccinations and its more than one shot combined, so potentially you could be getting three in one. Many people suffer from diarrhea, fever, and headaches after vaccinations along with other symptoms from their bodies fighting off and building …show more content…
I’m saying look into what shots your child or yourself is receiving. Think of how many at a time is being received before just letting someone else dictates what is best for you and your family. As parents and human living in America we have many choices. We can choose our hair color, the clothes we wear yet when it comes to what goes into our bodies its someone else choice. I don’t think that’s fair. Organic fruits and vegetables are pushed to be the best they are grown without any hormones or pesticides added to the growing process. Yet as humans we are expected to put them into our bodies in the form of vaccinations. Vaccinations are filled with proteins and additives along with a live or dead virus. As American we have been accustomed to being like lambs we follow orders and do as we are told especially by medical personal. The CDC is part of the government and they are making money potentially off these vaccinations. Pharmaceutical companies push new drugs every day. Just because a drug is sold through a prescription or over the counter doesn’t make it safe. I personally received a liver transplant because Tylenol killed my liver. Something as safe as Tylenol almost killed me. Yet does anyone really know what’s in that vile when the nurse gives you or your child a vaccination? There is other reasons people don’t vaccinate religious reasons and some even believe it causes behavioral diseases such as autism. I’m not saying those
Most people have never thought twice about vaccines until the day they are faced with injecting a weakened virus with chemicals and known toxins into their baby.
Many people believe that medical decisions for children should be left up to the parents or the child’s legal guardian. “ If the state can tag, track down, and forced citizens against their will to be injected with biological products of known and unknown toxicity today, there will be no limitation which individual freedoms that state can take away in the name of the greater good tomorrow.” (Barbara Low Fisher, co-founder of the National Vaccine Information Center)
Vaccination was first introduced globally for small pox and later on extended to other communicable diseases which are now known as vaccine preventable disease. Vaccination is beneficial both for individuals and community. This bring us to the ethical dilemma - Vaccination of a healthy child with the intention of protecting both the individual child and the community at the same time exposing the child to the theoretical risk of exposure to disease products whether live, attenuated or killed. There was a time when people never questioned the government or their physicians. Now because of more public awareness and accessibility to medical information, they are questioning the safety aspects of vaccines.
Parents must be forced to vaccinate their children. The detrimental effects of failing to vaccinate a child can be spine chilling for not only your child but you and your loved ones around. Despite our best efforts to keep our children safe, their lives are unhygienic, a proverbial germ fest some might argue. Children must be vaccinated as they are unaware of their surroundings and a vaccination will save their life; only the child’s but also the people around them.
... you wait, the more likely your child’s immune system will be able to handle the onslaught with minimal damage” (Sarah). I am not suggesting that we return to the days without vaccines. But we must seriously address what appears to be an obvious link between the epidemic of developmental delays, autoimmune diseases, and the increasing number of mandatory vaccines. Every parent should know the advantages as well as the dangers associated with each and every vaccine, each and every time it is given. They should know the positive and negative consequences of refusing that their children be vaccinated, and be made aware of how they can go about getting exemptions. Also-- the government, industry, health-care professionals, and parents must band together to get the research needed to determine the safety of these vaccines. The stakes are too high for us to do otherwise.
The fact that parents see’s vaccinations as a choice makes me think why do they see vaccinations as a “bad” thing. Then I realized just maybe some parents don’t know anything about vaccinations and prefer that they don’t put a unknown source in their baby, or maybe they are just given wrong information by other parents that don’t believe that infants should get vaccinated. I believe that every single parent should to a pediatrician/ or family doctor and ask them all the questions the have on vaccinations because at least they will get the right
Vaccines should be put in children when are born to prevent any diseases when they are
It’s certainly true that vaccinating your child at an early age is very risky, and can cause them to get very sick. But while concerned parents are in fear of their child’s health, it is also true that “all living things are subject to attack from disease causing agents (“Human”). Otherwise put, your child will get sick no matter how protective you are of him or her. The immune system is designed to target, fight, and destroy foreign substances of the bod...
Many people come to the United States of America in order to live freely and make choices based on their personal morals. Considering the fact that America is known for being the “land of the free”, people should be able to choose whether or not they want to get vaccinated. People should have the right to reject vaccinations for whatever reason it may be, whether it’s religious beliefs, health concerns, or lack of belief in the vaccination systems. Personally, Vaccinations have benefited me and my health, and I choose to get vaccinated. I choose to get vaccinated because I strongly believe in a way it helps build my immune system and keeps me from getting sick or catching diseases. However, people have different beliefs than mine. Therefore
The American people have rights, and one of those rights is to decide what we want administered into our bodies. I think it is very important to educate others on the risks of vaccines so that they can decide what is fit for them. I also want to bring awareness to the difficulties people face to keep vaccines out of their bodies and their children’s bodies. It should not be a struggle. We have rights to our own bodies and we should not be treated any differently for choosing not to vaccinate. I do not get the flu shot, nor do I get every new shot thrown my way by doctors, and I am perfectly healthy. In fact, I rarely get sick. I depend on natural immunity and other natural means for my health, and that works great. (“Vaccines ProCon.org.”) Barbara Low Fisher, Co-founder of National Vaccine Information Center, stated, "If the State can tag, track down and force citizens against their will to be injected with biological products of known and unknown toxicity today, there will be no limit on which individual freedoms the State can take away in the name of the greater good
This means children receive more than one vaccination for every time they arrive at the pediatrics office. Many parents question if too many vaccinations overwhelm a child’s immune system. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), no evidence suggests that the recommended childhood vaccinations can “overload” the immune system. In contrast, when infants are born, they are exposed to bacteria and viruses. Eating food introduces new bacteria to the digestive system. Most microorganisms cause no problems. Many found in the digestive system produce life- sustaining nutrients, which are essential for good health. When infants play with toys, they are also introducing new bacteria and viruses to their body. According to Brody, when a child puts things in their mouth, they are allowing their immune system to explore the environment. Not only does this allow for practice of the immune responses, but it plays a crucial role in teaching the mature immune system response to what is best ignored. Infant immune systems easily handle weakened or killed vaccine antigens (immunization). Therefore, vaccinations are little compared to what children face every
In recent years, the correlation between vaccines and autism has become the subject of much debate. On one side, there are the anti-vaccinators, or anti-vaccers. On the other, there’s pretty much everyone else. Despite the fact that the anti-vaccination movement has little base in scientific fact, their campaign to end early infanthood vaccinations rages on. While doctors and scientists try desperately to make parents look at the research studies, vaccination rates continue to fall. But, even in these dark times, there is still hope that scientific fact will prevail and defeat the anti-vaccination fear mongers who have caused many children to fall ill and even die because their parents did not properly vaccinate them. This is one of the most saddening scientific failures of the twenty-first century. A failure to educate the public properly has resulted in child, even infant, fatalities. The anti-vaccination movement was started based on falsified data and continues only because of a lack of knowledge and proper education of the general public.
By relinquishing the right of adults to choose whether they get vaccinated or not, the government is devaluing the individual, in essence, the government is putting the collective ahead of the group, this concept is a key foundation in democratic centralism, better known as Communism. Individual rights was a huge basis on the foundation of the US(US Constitution), denying the rights of the individuals to chooses whether they get or not, breaks this foundation(Darrell). Requiring vaccination also brings many issues into play, such as making the time to take all the vaccinations, and many vaccinations can’t be taken all at once, and this results in them breaking their normal schedule. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, a former ophthalmologist, agrees while vaccines are a wondrous thing, but freedom should not be compromised in the sake of universal vaccination(Rand
Each day researchers are finding out about vaccines and are realizing that there are a lot more risks than benefits. Dr Phillip F. Incao explains: “Today, far more children suffer from allergies and other chronic immune system disorders than from life-threatening infectious disease. It is neither reasonable nor prudent to persist in presuming that the benefits of any vaccination outweigh its risk” (qtd in Spaker). While infectious diseases are becoming uncommon there is no need for any person to get vaccinated. There have been many issues surrounding vaccinations all around the world.
Not only are we not allowing our body to build an immunity on it’s own, but we are also traumatizing our children by making them receive shots on a routine basis. There are many reasons that vaccinations should not be mandatory, but the most important are the number of vaccinations, ineffectiveness, and side effects. The number of vaccinations a child receives, in the first six years of his/her life, has increased dramatically. According to “Vaccine Controversies” by Kathy Koch, “Today, an American child receives up to 39 doses of 12 different vaccines, most given during the first two years of life. And, unlike in previous decades, today’s youngsters are given multiple inoculations on the same day” (643).
