Underwater photography is a wonderful art and hobby, and the waterproof digital cameras used to take those marvelous pictures you see in magazines are highly specialized pieces of equipment that can withstand submersion. This makes them perfect for the job, but it also makes them expensive.
If you take two digital cameras - a normal camera and a waterproof camera - that have the same abilities, the waterproof camera will cost more. Many people who have a small budget for photography do not believe they can afford to buy good underwater digital cameras. While it is true that not everyone can afford top of the line gear, it is also true that there are affordable waterproof digital cameras out there for a modest budget. This article will give

As such, it is the most important item to buy, which means you should spend more time evaluating your options with this than any other part of your gear. Now, I have to say that you do not have to purchase anything other than a waterproof camera to do underwater photography. Other accessories are nice, but they are not required. That right there will help your budget out tremendously.
In this field, an affordable waterproof digital camera is really anything under $300. You will not find a decent camera that is brand new below $200, and anything over $300 just starts to get expensive. So, here are three cameras that are in this price range that offer great performance at a quality price:
1. Olympus Stylus Tough 6000
This first camera is made by Olympus, one of the leaders in the waterproof digital cameras field, and has qualities that live up to the name. The Stylus Tough 6000 is waterproof up to 10 feet, is shock resistant (capable of withstanding falls up to five feet), and is freeze resistant - which is perfect if you like the frozen outdoors. Anywhere you want to go, this waterproof camera can handle it. And with 10 megapixels, the picture resolution is pretty good,
It all began with good intentions. People thinking that they can control these animals and not expect any negative impacts. It was all due to wanting to explore and entertain with the animals. However, not all animals are meant to be taken from the wild to be show animals. After many years of unfair ways, SeaWorld is doing the right thing by closing down the whale exhibit even if it isn’t by choice because it is unhealthy for both the humans and animals involved.
In February of 2010, a woman named Dawn Brancheau died while working as an animal trainer at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida. There has been a large amount of debate about the circumstances surrounding her death—some say she slipped and fell, while others say that she was dragged in by one of the orcas, Tilikum. The controversy over her tragic death brought this question to the surface: should parks like SeaWorld be closed down for safety reasons? While this argument has been going on for a long time, the death of Brancheau spurred a wave of debates about whether the park should be allowed to remain open. On one side, people believe the parks should be shut down and the animals should be released from captivity in an effort to protect the animals and the humans. On the other side of the argument, people believe the parks should be kept open because of the benefits they offer to the world in education and conservation. In light of SeaWorld’s recent transitions, I believe the park should remain open to the public.
Australian beaches are some of the best in the world and WA beaches are some of the best in Australia. But this may soon no longer be a view held by everyone if the WA government continues to support and allow the shark culling off Perth's major beaches. Hi I'm Maya Koentgen, a marine biologist, ecologist and fellow beach user, and I'm here to tell you why shark culling needs to stop. At the moment hundreds of innocent sharks are being caught and killed and why? Because they are simply swimming in their own homes that us humans have invaded.
When most people hear the word "shark", the image of a vicious killing machine pops into their head. They picture something out of the movie Jaws, where a massive Great White shark terrorizes an entire beach and eats dozens of people. However, this fictional story is nothing more than Hollywood entertainment. In the real world, the tables are turned. Humans are the ones who kill sharks, and not just by the dozens. It has been estimated that over 100 million sharks are killed every year by humans (http://www.iflscience.com). Some estimates claim that the actual number of sharks killed every year could be as high as 273 million (http://www.iflscience.com). In this research paper, I will inform you of the many ways that sharks are being killed,
Two friends go out for lunch to their usual favorite sushi restaurant. They are seated and given their menus, they knew they were going to get their usual but noticed the prices have increased. Prices have gone up, and some replaced with imitation fish meat, since the last time they ate there. What might have caused this? Due the demand of fish, the price for them also increases. It’s a simple supply and demand logic, but not only is it due to the demand for these fish, it can also be due to their rareness. Over-fishing can cause what is rare and which fish species isn’t. Commercial fishing may cause fish species to go extinct, or bring in new types of fish to take the place of the other fish. In tuna we
You're planning a vacation to Hawaii and want to do some fishing while here. If you're planning to hop on a charter sport fishing boat or some other commercial offshore excursion, you don't have anything to worry about except for showing up at the dock on time.
Earlier up above, I had mentioned a wetsuit and leash to be a few accessories that can be of great use. Depending on what the weather is like, a wetsuit can keep one warm (“Beginners Surfing Equipment”). Thus, I will not obtain hypothermia and freeze to my death. I also made note that the leash can be seen as a safeguard, which is entirely true because it keeps the surfer and board connected to one another incase the surfer falls of the board and renders unconscious. Furthermore, a rash guard will also help to prevent a wound from appearing. Not only does it “act as a protective layer from board rash and abrasion”, but it also shields surfers from destructive UV rays (Belt). It is a two in one deal, considering that I will not have to wear too much sunscreen or worry about acquiring painful rashes. If I want to surf in the long run, then following these precautions would benefit myself very
Demand, revenue, cost, and profit are the driving forces behind any economy. This notion is taught to most students in grade school and will carry on through the rest of their lives helping them make the most educated decisions they can. Logically, the greater the demand for something, the greater the profit will be. Whaling used to be a sizable part of the economy, due to the innumerable uses of a whale’s by-products, and consequently, there was a substantial profit margin. Presently, the largest demand for whaling is by Japan, Norway, and Iceland all of whom partake in whaling for either commercial or “research” purposes. However, the demand and revenue from whaling do not outweigh the costs that have tolled on the species. This practice is largely scrutinized by conservationists who believe that commercial whaling is going to bring some species of whales to extinction. The current demand for whaling is incredibly low; however, it is still necessary to continue the ban on commercial whaling.
