The Syrian Refugees It was only a few weeks ago that the Syrian refugee issue was discussed. Many Americans have debated the issue at hand. The Syrian refugees have had a great effect on the presidential election of 2016. Both sides of the debate have convincing evidence to support their claim, but I have had a hard time choosing my side. Many fear that Isis will come with the refugees, but there is no way to be sure. In my opinion, the Syrian refugees should be allowed to come to the United States, first of all the United States promote racial equality, second Isis is already here, and third these people are not all extremists sure maybe some but not all. As I have previously stated, we promote racial equality. These people are just like
An extraordinary 65.3 million Refugees have been displaced around the world. In 2015 Australia took 12,000 of them. But where are Australians placing these Refugees? Australia is deporting these Refugees to a third country, either on Manus or Nauru Island. These Islands have reports of inhumane and cruel treatment towards Refugees For those who aren’t fully aware of what Refugees are; they are people whom come to Australia illegally without the appropriate visas. They cannot obtain these visas because of the reasons they are fleeing their country … their Government. None the less it should be the Australian Government they fear. The concepts of refugees are kept hidden away from us by our own Government in reflection of their Governments own self-interest. This tragedy is classified as a modern day witch hunt.
The United States fails to protect its borders, while Australia sacrifices human rights in order to do so. Traditionally, first-world countries and their citizens assist those in less developed countries. Many of the island nations in the south pacific suffer from poverty and frequent natural disasters. Most would agree that, as the most developed country in the region, it is Australia’s responsibility to advocate for human rights and contribute to humanitarian efforts for the island nations. To its credit, Australia normally satisfies this role. However, when asylum-seekers come by boat, Australia draws a forceful line. The United States is also tasked with protecting its borders, but takes a more appropriate approach. In 2012, the PEW research
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Rather than asking if this is right or wrong, a solution can be found. Illegal immigrants come here for a purpose and can be helped with this purpose. Most come fleeing persecution, although some come here for more demented reasons. Those, illegal immigrants will be done away with. However, Those immigrants who come here for pure reasons need to be taken Care of in proper
Population what makes a country special, all the cultures and the history combines a society within the borders of a country. The United States has the most unique and diverse population in the world. But unfortunately, the topic of immigration creates tension throughout the US. Today, immigration is one of the most popular topic of debate especially in politics. For many years the United States has been trying to come with a solution for this particular issue, but unfortunately, they haven’t found a permanent solution to fix the problem. Immigration helps a country to improve its potential by diversifying its power. Therefore, it should be encouraged by the government by providing programs that will benefit the immigrants.
First off, let’s just start by saying within the confines of the United States illegal immigration is not really illegal due to many different factors. Currently in the United States illegal immigrants receive healthcare, social security, unemployment and other forms of benefits provided by the US government “for its people”, which are funded by the citizens of the United States through their tax dollars but illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, they simply collect and piggyback off the rest of us. Not only that though with the increase of illegal immigrants comes an increase in the unemployment rate, the amount of illegal immigrants coming over each year, and taxes as we must pay for people that don’t belong here. If you were to trespass in a foreign country for instance let’s say Russia as soon as you step foot on their soil you’re “banned from the country for 10 years and you can receive up to a six month prison
The United States of America was founded by and for immigrants who were searching for freedom. It has become the land of opportunity, the home of the free, and a place where you can experience the American dream. Moreover, each year whether it is voluntary or not, thousands of people will immigrate to the U.S in hope of a better tomorrow, leaving behind their families, homes and identities. Nevertheless, the journey is not always easy, most of the time these immigrants have to face many obstacles in order to come into the United States. Many will die before they even reach their destination and even if they do make it, they are looking into a future filled with struggles due to being undocumented, and are forced to live each day with the fear of being caught. Moreover, if the U.S can provide amnesty to undocumented people and regulate the laws in regards to immigration we can
When people first stepped foot on American soil as pilgrims, and eventually established a great nation, it was known as the land of the free. Now, when you look at America, it is considered to be a nation of immigrants. Today, in 2014, we have Americans that are mad with immigrants trying to get into this country, as they are taking our jobs away from us. On the other hand, you have those Americans who yearn for their far off families and friends to come to America from other countries to pursue a better life and utilize the opportunities America offers which their current locations cannot. Why should we let these people into the country without forcing them to first go through all the proper legal actions? It’s great that
The question we bring before you is one that has caused controversy, anger, fear, and even prejudice around every corner of America. One that the United States government has asked themselves again and again with no real answer, should immigrants be allowed into our country freely? The United States have dealt with illegal immigrants ever since this country was founded in 1776. This country was built on immigrants. And yet, the US government still will not allow immigrants into America. They keep asking themselves, should we, should we, and should we? Our answer is yes, they should, pending, however, a background check, blood test, and be required to take ESL classes, because there are certain stipulations that are needed. If they have a
The United States of America and its large diversity of cultures has been a melting pot of the early 20th century . These immigrants could have these jobs back in their native country which requires very high intense labor and could be paid what is considered 100 dollars here. They come here because they know that wages here are much better than what is earned back home. Being in a land in which most of them do not speak English but are still out there getting jobs. Immigrants do not come here to commit crimes. They do everything to have a better life, even if that means working two jobs to sustain a middle class life in America. This drive is key in understanding why America needs immigrants in order to be great again. The current immigration policy also locks out high-skilled workers such as engineers, doctors, and entrepreneurs. The United States invests
Illegal immigrants are makers, not takers. Many American citizens see these approximate 11 million illegal immigrants in a negative view and don’t want them living in their communities. However, many of these American citizens don’t know why illegal immigrants come here and what good they actually do to this country. Illegal immigration should be allowed because their quality of life is improved, they help the economy, and they bring job growth.
With the recent Paris attacks and rumors of foreboding ISIS attacks, the topic of immigration comes up quite often in conversations. Topics such as how the immigrants should be dealt with, what exactly are the benefits and/or detriments of immigration, Donald Trump’s immigration plan, et cetera are usually discussed. With immigration gradually becoming a trending issue, various people have expressed their thoughts through means like social media and news sites. The U.S. govemment has faced the struggle for various decades to put an end to unauthorized immigration from Mexico and into the United States. Immigration as a whole has increased from 71,877,120 in 1960 to 213,316,418 in 2010 according to the data created and also reported by the World Bank. The government has made multiple attempts to stop the immigration process by implementing harsher measures along the U.S. and Mexico border and at work sites across the entire country. These measures however, have failed to end unauthorized immigration as a whole as immigrants still find a way to sneak by, settle, and make a living.. Americans who have a reason to oppose immigration argue that the safety and the strength of the nation’s economy are greatly threatened. However, strong supporters argue that instead of damaging and putting the economy at risk they provide a more stable environment.
Another casual night: the air is sticky, and the water is scarce, all throughout the country the sound of gunshots are ringing through the air. For most people, this “casual” night is beyond their wildest imagination, but for Syrians it is an ongoing nightmare. Faced with the trauma of a civil war, Syrian refugees seek protection and a more promising future than the life they currently live in their oppressive country. Many seek refuge in other Middle East countries like Turkey and Jordan, but others search for hope in the icon of freedom, the United States of America. However, in America, there is an ongoing debate about whether or not Syrian refugees should be accepted. America needs to accept the Syrian refugees because if they do not, the
Immigration, the leaving of one 's homeland to build a life in another country, was not a new concept by the late 1800s. Foreigners had been leaving their homelands for the United States for decades before. Since then Immigration has been a major issue in the United States. This phenomenon is not new and thousands of illegal immigrants have come into United States through either the Mexican border, the Pacific Ocean, and through many other ways. However, some of the immigrants are undocumented, they should be allowed to stay in the United State because of some reasons such as, religious freedom, another one would be opportunity, and run to seek shelter.
