Chocolate milk has been in the school many years now. Should it stay or leave forever? One side thinks it is unhealthy, on the other hand some people will only drink chocolate milk. People like chocolate milk. If it’s gone, then kids will get less calcium. They can burn off the extra sugar from the chocolate milk by exercising. More health problems will come from the loss of chocolate milk because of the loss of calcium in the students’ bodies. I think chocolate milk should stay because many people like chocolate milk. If the school gets rid of it, then many people will get disappointed. I think this would probably make the school have a drop in income from lunch since 16 out of 19 people in my class like chocolate milk and would care if it’s gone. “In fact, it’s pretty much only with breakfast cereal that any kid would choose white milk.” said Mannie Tarenworth. Some people say that chocolate milk has more sugar than soda. I …show more content…
Critics argue that chocolate milk is soda dressed up. It might be true that it has some sugar in it. Still all in all, chocolate milk has less sugar and more nutrients in it than soda. “Research shows that children who drink flavored milk meet more of their nutrient needs, do not consume more added sugar, fat and calories and are not heavier than non milk drinkers,” says Ms. Dobbins. The loss of money spent on chocolate milk would affect the schools budget and drop the amount of extra cash the school can spend even more than the students’ health from sugar. Maybe it’s correct now and doesn’t need any changes. Some people say that children would choose plain milk over chocolate milk if not given a choice but I challenge this. Kids would switch to soda and affect their bodies even more than if they just kept chocolate milk. Maybe just leave things as they are or change things and take away the only source of calcium some kids will
Chocolate milk and a cafeteria don't go together like frosting on a cupcake, so don’t put them together. Schools should not serve chocolate milk to students. It’s easy to think that chocolate milk is just as healthy as white milk, but when you look at the facts, it is very clear that we should not serve chocolate milk in schools. It has been found that our bodies don’t need chocolate milk, there is too much sugar, and chocolate milk can cause illnesses and diseases. Chocolate milk should not be served in schools now or ever again.
Consider fructose in soda. The total sugar content for a typical 12 ounce soda is about 27 grams, split between 16 grams of fructose and 11 grams of glucose. Another way to get 16 grams of fructose would be to eat two cups of kiwi fruit.
Starting with the dark chocolate; this type of chocolate has a natural source of antioxidants. Then in 2008, Hershey began making chocolate with vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter (Hershey, n.d.). No milk chocolate is not a healthy snack but popping one in your mouth is only 25 calories (Sun-Sentinel, 2007). These improvements modified the chocolate recipe to attract more clientele (Hershey, n.d.).

I think that chocolate milk should be banned from schools because kids know they are not allowed to drink chocolate milk so they take advantage of the fact that they have it at school and drink it too much, chocolate milk makes kids consume too much sugar, and chocolate milk is more unhealthy compared to other drinks.
The reason for the popular debate between Coke and Pepsi originates from their similar taste and colour; however there are some ingredients that separate them when contributing to your health. When comparing the original Pepsi and Coke side by side, Pepsi contains four more grams of sugar in forms of fructose, corn syrup
Since the beginning of time, people have been drinking milk. Even today you will find a gallon of milk in almost every refrigerator in America. Milk is, and has always been, a staple of our diet. Because it contains essential proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins, milk is considered one of nature's perfect foods. Unfortunately, throughout the last century milk has been subjected to many forms of modern processing practices, which deprive milk from many of its natural qualities and benefits. Therefore many essential vitamins and enzymes are lost. Processing milk has altered one of nature’s perfect foods and changed it into something nature did not intend. Because of the abundant health benefits in raw milk, this report will explain why it should be made legal for consumers to buy throughout the United States.
One of the main influencers of the taste that isn’t chocolate is any types or forms of fats in the recipe. There is a lot that falls under that list but the most commonly heard of and used are butter, oil, and cocoa butter from the chocolate. In desserts that focus on giving out a more creamier type of taste, then it is usually best to not use cocoa and just use chocolate instead. There are some desserts that call for a much needed silkiness that only cocoa butter can provide most of the time. Cocoa butter is a very unique fat because unlike other fats it melts on at a temperature that is very close to the human body's temperature. Chocolate that’s got a hard and solid feeling to it usually feels rich when tasting it on your tongue. Due to the fact that normal chocolate bars contain much more cocoa butter than cocoa powder does, it makes a lot of sense to use normal chocolate bars over cocoa powder. Recipes that are usually contain a lot of cocoa butters is puddings, ganache, and mousses., these desserts are where the more luxurious mouth-feels of cocoa butters really shine. So for desserts like those ones just previously mentioned, chocolate is almost always prefered when it comes to judging chocolate and cocoa powder. This doesn’t mean that cocoa powder is much worse for recipes than chocolate. In fact, if someone wants chocolate with a lot more flavor to it, than can add a tablespoon or as much as they would like to add to the recipe which will add a bigger boost of flavor instead of being an odd combination of chocolates. However, when someone is choosing between cocoa powder and chocolate to use for a chocolatey flavor inside of cakes, the choice becomes much more complicated of
There has recently been a debate about whether chocolate milk should be served in the school cafeteria or not. Some people say that it should be served in the cafeteria because chocolate milk is healthy and helps child growth. But, they are wrong. Chocolate milk is definitely not healthy, and it should not be served in the cafeteria. This is why. Chocolate milk shouldn’t be served in the cafeteria because it’s fattening and too sugary, it’s non-beneficial, and it can be harmful.
Elie’s identity changes throughout the story of Night by Elie Wiesel as he loses his childlike naivety and becomes aware of the harshness of the world around him due to the atrocities he faced during the holocaust. Wiesel uses internal monologue to show how from page 32 Elie’s identity is naive and innocent, as he has lived a sheltered life with his family thus far. However, as the book progresses, Elie is forced into dangerous and uncomfortable situations as a result of the Holocaust. On page 61, he becomes wise and conscious of the atrocities around him. When Elie is first taken to the internment camp at Auschwitz, he refuses to believe it’s real: “No.
Chocolate milk is a worldwide debate of whether it should be served in schools or be an at home treat. Many schools have already gotten rid of chocolate milk but what about Nickels Intermediate school. They should keep chocolate milk to keep kids on a beneficial and healthy diet. I think it is good for you. Chocolate milk has the same nutrients as the white milk. This means they are equal and not good or bad. If they take away the chocolate milk from school most of the kids won't drink.
The USDA say that the average person needs to drink 2-3 fluid cups of milk per day, depending on age and gender, to maintain a healthy diet (USDA), “claims, which are misleading in the extreme" (Cancer Prevention Coalition, Para3). Milk is a beverage that can cause various levels of diseases that the process of pasteurization does not filter, along with additive hormones that also effects cows that are treated with these hormones and all the while, there are people in the world that have little or no dairy intake that find calcium in places other than dairy and who are generally a more healthy people.
...y treat to indulge in, it seems to have positive effects on the mind and body. This just makes me wonder how chocolate will be viewed hundreds of years from now and if it could possibly become even more pleasurable.
There is nothing any better than a good piece of chocolate. Its rich, its creamy, its smooth, and it makes us feel so-o-o-o good for a few moments of course, that is; until the guilt of the calories kick in. Chocolate happens to be one of my favorite sweets. The wonderful creamy milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, white chocolate, or even my personal favorite a silky dark chocolate, the choices are hard. I sat down this weekend to really think about, and compare the differences. I compared my two favorite types of chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. Milk chocolate is usually paired with nuggets, nuts, creams or caramels, but the dark chocolate is best with a wine such as a Muscat Canelli. Either makes a great desert, treat, or snack for anyone.
