Is looking at a screen really worth your life? Taylor Sauer, an 18 year old young lady. Knew the danger of texting and driving. But moments later Taylor the Utah State University student. Was texting and driving and ended up slamming into a tanker truck going 80 mph, dying instantly. Her last texted was to her friend: “I can’t discuss this now. Driving and Facebooking is not safe! Haha” (Hosamsky). Too many kids are addicted to their cell phone devices. Getting addicted to cell phone devices can lead into a deadly situation. If there isn’t a change; these death rates will only keep rising. Parents need to limit their kids from cell phone use because it can lead to serious life threatening situation or car accidents. People have become so addicted to their devices that they don’t realize that they’re not cell phone users they’re being used by their phones. Kids and parents are too attached to their devices that it is causing serious problems such as, the death rates that keep rising. I believe this is outrageous laws need to be better enforced upon those who use their phones well driving. Parents needing to pay extra money on their kid’s monthly data plan. While the money can’t be spent on something more productive. I think parents need to be smarter about this. I think kids grow up to be a reflection of both their parents and if they see their parents addicted using their cell phones everyday on daily bases. Kids will assume its fine. Thousands of innocent lives are being killed by distracted drivers. I feel they should make a law that brings up age limit on having a driver’s license. Reason why is because most teens are distracted drivers. Some of those drivers that were distracted while driving were younger than the age of 20 years
