FOR something so small the Australian passport really packs a punch. Did you know the little blue book with the golden coat of arms on the cover is one of the best in the world based on the countries those carrying the passport can visit without a visa? In 2016 the Aussie document granted visa-free access to 169 countries, putting it 8th on the Henley & Partners Visa Restriction Index which ranks passports according to travel freedom, with Germany topping the list by letting citizens easily enter 177 destinations. Here are five more things you didn’t know about your passport. 1. 2. Dates, pages and visas ``It’s vital for Australians to check their passport validity,’’ says Trafalgar sales specialist Paul Salvo. ``Many countries require a minimum of six months remaining before the passport expires, and at least two clear pages for entry stamps, and even if there’s potential to secure a visa on arrival I recommend travellers be prepared and apply in advance when they can. ``Not only does it spare wait time in queues it also eliminates the risk of being refused entry.’’ 3. Make sure the details match When booking flights the details you give the airline – name, date of birth, passport number – must match exactly with your document’s information page. Mr Salvo says ``one character out can cause all sorts of international issues’’ and mean you miss a flight when the airline voids the ticket or face steep fees to change booking
Why Australia? What is Australia anyway1? The continent itself is clear enough, burned into my mind on long hot afternoons in the Third Grade when I learned to sketch in its irregular coastline: the half-circle of the Great Australian Bight, the little booted foot of Eyre's Peninsula. Spencer's Gulf down to Port Philip … … I know the outline; I know the names (learned painfully for homework) of several
The book "The Australian Legend", written by Russell Ward and published in 1958 speaks mainly of "Australian Identity". It looks at nationalism and what has formed our self-image. There are many aspects that are left overlooked however, as the Authour makes his assumptions. Significant parts of society are neglected consideration, these include those that weren't from the bush, non-British immigrants, the Aboriginal people and women. Also the use of romanticised and exaggerated evidence causes an imbalance in his conclusions.
“To be the best airlines in whole world and providing excellent customer experience in our flights with full entertainment and loads of satisfaction.”

An extraordinary 65.3 million Refugees have been displaced around the world. In 2015 Australia took 12,000 of them. But where are Australians placing these Refugees? Australia is deporting these Refugees to a third country, either on Manus or Nauru Island. These Islands have reports of inhumane and cruel treatment towards Refugees For those who aren’t fully aware of what Refugees are; they are people whom come to Australia illegally without the appropriate visas. They cannot obtain these visas because of the reasons they are fleeing their country … their Government. None the less it should be the Australian Government they fear. The concepts of refugees are kept hidden away from us by our own Government in reflection of their Governments own self-interest. This tragedy is classified as a modern day witch hunt.
Australia is a country with a wide range of landscapes from the rough red dirt of The Outback to the magnificent beauty of the tropical rainforests and our gorgeous white sands of our beaches. Australia is travel heaven, so many of our advertisements for Tourism Australia proudly focuses on these natural wonders and we don’t blame them. One piece of Australia that earns it worldwide appreciation is its spectacular scenery, especially the diversity of the landscape and the abundance of its colour. Australian landmarks, including The Great Barrier Reef and Uluru are just truly remarkable. International
The United States fails to protect its borders, while Australia sacrifices human rights in order to do so. Traditionally, first-world countries and their citizens assist those in less developed countries. Many of the island nations in the south pacific suffer from poverty and frequent natural disasters. Most would agree that, as the most developed country in the region, it is Australia’s responsibility to advocate for human rights and contribute to humanitarian efforts for the island nations. To its credit, Australia normally satisfies this role. However, when asylum-seekers come by boat, Australia draws a forceful line. The United States is also tasked with protecting its borders, but takes a more appropriate approach. In 2012, the PEW research
For a mother or father to learn that their adopted child, who they believed was an orphan, actually has a caring and loving family is heartbreaking. Adoptive parents feel guilty. The children yearn for their true home. The biological family feels deceived and desire for their child to return. This situation is far too familiar within intercountry adoption cases. Many children are pulled away from home, put into orphanages, and painted as helpless orphans. The actions perpetrated by adoption agencies reflects an underlying network of corruption and exploitation. This is not for the purpose of discouraging international adoption, but to shed light on the horrific practices taking place behind the scenes. Intercountry adoptions are often tangled
Nowadays, United States is the country that has variety of cultures, races, etc. mixing together by having immigrants in their countries. However, they need to control these group of people also. More people out of country are trying to stay in the U.S. However, this is not an easy process to deal with. There is an immigrant policy that they have to go through. In the past, United States is wide open for people to settle down on this land. There is no process of immigrants. However, in the middle of 1840 to 1880, immigrants started to come in the U.S. such as Irish and Chinese because of demanding of unskilled and cheap labors. In the 1920, automation replaced unskilled labors as a result immigrant’s policy is limited quotas for immigrants
The question this research will attempt to answer is why an immigration reform is needed? One of the reason is that are more than 11 million of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Many people come all around the world with one dream in their hand and is to make better life for themselves and their families. Our immigration system needs to start to realize the hardships, and the contributions for those undocumented immigrants moving here. Trying to keep their families together here in this country, with the hope of creating a legal path or process of citizenship in the country. The same hope that will compensate the United States rather than create more expensive by trying to deport millions of people, and building a wall between two
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Rather than asking if this is right or wrong, a solution can be found. Illegal immigrants come here for a purpose and can be helped with this purpose. Most come fleeing persecution, although some come here for more demented reasons. Those, illegal immigrants will be done away with. However, Those immigrants who come here for pure reasons need to be taken Care of in proper
Illegal immigrants are makers, not takers. Many American citizens see these approximate 11 million illegal immigrants in a negative view and don’t want them living in their communities. However, many of these American citizens don’t know why illegal immigrants come here and what good they actually do to this country. Illegal immigration should be allowed because their quality of life is improved, they help the economy, and they bring job growth.
With the recent Paris attacks and rumors of foreboding ISIS attacks, the topic of immigration comes up quite often in conversations. Topics such as how the immigrants should be dealt with, what exactly are the benefits and/or detriments of immigration, Donald Trump’s immigration plan, et cetera are usually discussed. With immigration gradually becoming a trending issue, various people have expressed their thoughts through means like social media and news sites. Joining this movement, this will be another text on the topic of immigration. The benefits of immigration will be presented, false information will be proven wrong, and why some people oppose immigration will be explained and discussed. Immigration should be widely accepted rather than
International airlines are greatly affected by trade relations that their country has with others. Unless governments of the two countries trade with each other, there could be restrictions of flying into particular area leading to a loss of potential air traffic (e.g. Pakistan & India)
