Get ready, because you’re going to be surprised at what I’ve uncovered! Now unless you live in Arizona, you’ll probably go for another college that offers some computing science degree. But if you’re in Arizona, then you’ll probably want to go to ASU. Or Arizona State University, if you’re really bad with abbreviations. ASU is one of the best universities in the state! Maybe in the nation, but I’m not entirely sure. Anyway they offer courses in computer science, you can major in that and maybe one day, one day you’ll have a doctorate in it. ASU is a tough university and the hours of the semesters in them are pretty long. For the degree you’re looking for in computer science you’ll have to take a set of lab science courses. It’ll probably take 12 semester hours since they’re required for the degree you’re after. But the lab science sequence courses take about 8 hours for the semester. Although the Lab science course options take the remaining 4 hours. You’re okay for the 4 hours, don’t try and have a heart attack once you see how many hours you must complete for the only degree you’re going after. Good luck to you! The first piece of technology that was introduced to me was the amazing, ground-breaking GameBoy created by Nintendo. My parents believed that my obsession with video games in my juvenile years would be the cause of my downfall when I would become an adult with no job, no money, and still lived with my parents. I admit that I did have an addiction in the beginning, but over the years it moderated as I became more attracted to what was actually done to develop the devices and programs that once ensnared me. Enrolling into a vocational high school, I selected Programming & Web Development as my choice of trade in order for me to learn more about this extraordinary field of science. Soon I began compiling my own applications, but with a method unorthodox compared to my classmates; I believed that the vivid aesthetics and simple navigation displayed on applications were just as crucial as the tediously compiled, intricate code virtually hidden underneath. With every annual keynote that was broadcasted from numerous Silicon Valley companies, their latest innovations constantly entertained my curiosity. Advancing as an upperclassmen, I entered into challenging courses and incessantly researched innumerable universities as I began to devise a plan of recruitment for the companies of the Bay Area. Enrolling into a university that is passionate about the
Scholarship has been a major part of my life since elementary school. Although I was never put any pressure at home to get good grades, it has always been a goal of mine. In school, I maintain a positive attitude about the work I receive. My overall average has been a 95 or above every quarter since 6th grade. I’ve maintained my positivity, work ethic, and motivation throughout middle school. From my experiences, I feel that I should be considered for NJHS.

Becoming a Software Engineer is not the easiest of tasks. To become a Software Engineer you would usually major in Computer Science (CUnet 1). A Computer Science degree is the most common degree among Software Engineers. It’s the most common because it covers a broad range of topics that Software Engineers need to know for this occupation (U.S. Department of Labor 1). Software Engineer’s need at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science to get hired by companies. Even though Computer Science is the most common degree Software Engineer’s have, there are also other subjects that they major in (U.S. Department of Labor 1). It is recommended that while pursuing a degree to become a Software Engineer, students should participate in internships, and to participate in projects to be hired by companies once they are out of college (Career Focus 1). Depending on what college you go to, that’s how many credits you get. The same thing with high school, it all just depends. It also depends on how much work you do, and how many classes that you go to. For example, some colleges have an average of thirty two credits per year. So if you take two years, then you will have 64, and if you only take it for one year, then you will have thirty two credits. If you take classes for a
Unlike many students who are unsure of the specialty they wish to pursue when entering college, my goal has always been to become a computer engineer. Becoming a computer engineer is not simply a decision I have taken lightly. I have thought very long and hard before deciding to pursue this career path.
