I have been passionate about photography since an early age. As a child, I maintained a comprehensive photo album; time and again, I would browse through the memories contained within. With the increase in number of pictures, it became a slightly more difficult, although manageable, task. While I was in my late teens, as the world got digital, we started generating data at rates never heard before. I took up professional photography around the same time, and I was inundated by more and more Gigabytes of data with each new shoot. Soon it became an ordeal to go through the photos and find the one I need. This made me think about novel methodsto organize the pictures. I’d go into the exif data of the photographs, add tags, locations, date or even the themes, in order to be able to …show more content…
This was my first tryst with Information Management.
For my undergraduate degree, I enrolled for the Bachelor of Engineering program in
Computer Science at PVPIT, Pune . Here my understanding of computers expanded and there was much to learn in what seemed like a very short amount of time. With a single-minded focus on proving my worth in the professional arena, Isecured a job as a Data
Analyst at Click Inc and worked hard for over 3 years to gain real-world experience about data management systems. I believe now is the time to increase my knowledge, and a change of environment will augment my learning capabilities. Even though I did not fare too well in my undergrad course due to personal obstacles, my GRE test scores are testimony that I'm able to rise to the challenge when I fully devote myself.
I want to pursue MS in Information Systems to better understand and utilize the finer aspects of data management for business purposes. I have been fascinated by computers from a young age which led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Computer
Engineering. I started working in the field as a data analyst to apply some of the
Photographs serve as a record of what we have accomplished, where we have traveled and who was there along the way. A significant mechanism in photography is tourists , to which I
This essay is an ethnographic study of Whole Foods Market which is located in Kensington, London. Whole Foods Market is a niche supermarket that sells high quality organic and natural products at high prices. In this essay, I will provide a brief orientation of ethics with regards to the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility - macroethics and Business Ethics - microethics and the theoretical frameworks of consequentialism, deontology and virtue ethics. I will be using deontology framework in ethics devised by Immanuel Kant to assess if the marketing strategy and the products sold at Whole Foods Market support their principle of ‘organic and natural’.
I decided to do my ethnographic observation at Enterprise Elementary School. I went to the preschool on both Monday and Tuesday of SUU’s fall break. They have three preschool classes throughout the day that last about an hour and a half each. The classes each consist of around fifteen young students. Their ages range from as young as four up to six. There was a generally equal split between boys and girls, yet there were a few more boys overall. The children came from a variety of backgrounds. Some were Mexican or African-American and a few spoke two languages and one even spoke three. They often confused words and would mix the languages, yet these students seemed to pick up new concepts faster than some of the others.
Photography is simple yet versatile. With just the press of a button, any moment in time can be immortalized. Additionally, its ubiquitous nature has made a significant impact on various fields of study as well as our personal lives. Photography is used in academia as a form of reference, in media to tell stories and spread messages; it’s a method of capturing meaningful memories of friends and family and as an art to introduce ideas, pose questions and display emotions. Susan Sontag and Roland Barthes both provide their input on multifaceted and arduous questions, such as: What is the meaning of a photograph? What role do photographs play in our society? How does one look at photographs and proceed to “understand” them? On Photography (by
PROMPT 1 Middle and higher education are my work contexts as a teacher. Ethnographic observation seems to be hard to plan and apply since most of my students have a part-time job and they do not spend much time at home. Ethnographic observation demands a lot of time and planning. However, it is worth it since it provides teachers with the opportunity to develop themselves as researchers and to improve their professional practices. It allows teachers to know students contexts and the marginalized literacy practices they perform.
I am proud to be who I am. I love everything about my culture. Music, food. and religion are all important aspects in my cultural. My parents and family members are huge role models to me of helping me understand my background. Although I do try my best to represent who I am as a Palestinian I do face many external and internal problems in my culture. The main idea of this is to explain my cultural identity and how it has affected my life.
My personal cultural identity is a lot different compared to the society I am surrounded by. I am considered an outsider in my society. I am an outsider living in a constantly changing environment where there are many different kinds of people and many different cultural identities. In my culture we know how to respect people and their belongings, know how to work hard, use what we have while being thankful for it at the same time, and last we know how to stay true to ourselves in this very fast pace world of ours. I am a cowboy.
“Constant efforts, dedication, devotion and determination are the key to success” This principle I have followed in my career. Setting goals and striving hard to accomplish them has always been my strength in professional as well as personal life. I have always been amazed by computers, code –programs and was keen to understand the underlying meaning, gimmick, structure and pattern of how programs actually work. Learning about simple Foxpro programs, excel sheet formulae, C programs at an early age heightened my interest in computer programs. This childhood interest urged me to do a diploma in information technology and later bachelor’s degree in the same area. Having completed six years course in Information Technology, and two years of experience in IT. I stand by the principal “Stay Hungry” and this has helped me in achieving my goals. Standing by this I would like to explore ahead and pursue MS in MIS. I would like emerge to put to use this knowledge to pursue MS program in MIS.
Home is experienced in a multitude of ways using our senses. Impressions of our past and present homes materialize from a familiar smell, sight, feeling, taste or sound. We all live in a multi-sensory environment, where we can use one or more of our senses on a daily basis to absorb our surroundings. However, it is easily arguable that although each sense can conjure up a memory, or imprint a grasp of where we live or lived, certain senses are stronger with the recollection or the feelings we have of our home. If we live in the same home as other people, some of us will associate a certain smell to the home, while others will not; or a sound, etc., that I would not associate with that home. I will be pursuing the reasons why we absorb our environments
I am currently employed as a Software Engineering Senior Analyst at Accenture. The Information system advances so rapidly that at times it is too difficult to keep up with it without proper knowledge and experience. While most of the people do get a relatively easy entry in the field after under graduation, it is very difficult to aim for a constant growth only on that basis. The field demands upgraded knowledge and experience for career growth and (achieve goals). And that is why I aspire, to pursue Masters in Management Information Systems at your esteemed University.

I have always enjoyed looking at photos of my family from before I was born and even from when I was younger. The photos give me an insight of what their lives were like; the celebrations, the emotions, the adventures, the family that they were and how the family has evolved over the years. The photograph periods range from my grandmother’s teenage years to about my first four years of life. Curiosity has always been a strong sense in me, so I always ask my mother about the people in the photographs.
In 2010, I started my undergraduate degree course in Industrial Engineering and Management in the prestigious M.S. Ramaiah ...
At the dawn of the information age, to be young, as Wordsworth said in another context, is very heaven. Getting to know what goes inside computers, the engines of the Information Technology revolution, and knowing how to work with them enables one to understand the technology that makes it all possible. Understanding this, I chose to do my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications engineering.
Computers and Technology have fascinated me right from my childhood and I have always had it in my mind to choose Information Technology for my engineering. As the years passed my eagerness grew and so did my thirst to attain higher education and now is the perfect time for me to ignite the spark in me. This has given me the courage to analyze the fact that I have a herculean task ahead in order to comprehend an extensive proportion of subject and enjoy it while assimilating the problems.
