What is a human? What does it mean to be human? Some would say that it is the ability to feel emotion, or to comprehend thoughts. Others would say it is the ability to change the world.
If these things make us human, what would be the contrast. The loss of emotion? The loss of complex thought that invigorates the mind? Or perhaps, the fact that the race as a whole can change the world we inhabit, and yet continue to ignore the issues facing us time and time again.
The human race would rather spend time trying to kill each other because of opposing views on how the world should work. We had a “war” because Russia’s view of how the world should be run was the opposite of America’s. This race would rather spend its time hating the color of each …show more content…

But no, we would rather use terrorism, violence, fear and power to advance.
It is no longer a question of if we can work together, it’s a question of do we want to. The world as a whole has advanced far beyond the goals of any man or woman, yet we continue to allow personal prejudices to cripple us, and bar us from advancing as a whole race.
It’s sad to say, but there is no way to change this world, at least, not for everyone in it. But we can improve it, and the only way you can, is to better yourself, because everything in this life is a choice. Whether it is what you wear today, or if you defend another person from racial discrimination, the choice to do so is yours.
In order to truly be able to live in this world, you must first accept three basic principles. First, the world will not change if only a few try to change it. Second, everything you do is a choice, and every choice defines who you are and how you want this world to be. And finally, everything you know to be just, and fair, and “the right thing to do” is just what society deemed so, so you must decide for yourself, or risk losing what truly makes us
