Life is a mixture of experiences, culture, tradition, sexuality, politics and much more. Experiences make us the person who we are today. Describing how an individual handles certain stages in life. These experiences demonstrates how a person behaves, and determines their attitude. In my life I have experienced many things that have affected me in all aspects of myself. How I interact with people, what my actions are, my preferences, and all about me. With my experiences that I have faced I learned many things but one thing that stands out is that everyone should have morals of compassion, kindness, and respect the value of life. This is a very diminutive world and we can take to perspective to be considerate with our actions and say. We should bring to thought the idea that within every action or speech it has an effect to something or someone. C. Write Mills the author of the text “The Sociological Imagination”(1959) he discusses that we all have a cause in this world and we are connected to everyone and everything. If we would like to change the standards of something it is capable. Mills connects the notion of how people feel when confronted with something they think they cannot handle, but everyone is capable of doing. Nicolette Niman has reports by United Nations and the University of Chicago and the reports “condemn meat-eating,” and the reports also say that beef production is closely related to global warming. Niman highlights, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxides are the leading greenhouses gases involved in increasing global warming. A vast majority of people across the world consumes meat and very little people are vegetarian, or the people that don’t eat meat, but are there connections between people and meat production industry when it comes to eating food and the effect it has on the climate? The greenhouse gases, methane, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxides are not only to blame, but we should be looking at people and industrialized farming for the leading cause of greenhouse gases in agriculture and the arm-twisting dilemma we have been lured into, which is meat production itself.

Lessons can be learned from the littlest of experiences. Important life lessons can be taken from not only success, but also our greatest failures. Adversity can greatly alter our perspective and provide an individual with wisdom. The first time I was faced with adversity was when I broke my tibia and fibula. I was involved in sports and this was definitely a setback, to say the least. Moments after the accident, I realized that the months of recovery I would have to toil. Everyone has been bullied or encountered someone being bullied at some point of their life. Whether it would be physically or verbally both can be exceedingly traumatizing and can have a long-term psychological influence on children’s development. Majority people may define bullying in a more physical term; nevertheless that’s not always the case. The act of bullying can occur in several ways and in reality affect the individual in the same way. Bullying is generally defined as repeated, negative, and harmful actions focused at target throughout a course of time, exhibiting a sense of power difference between the bully and the victim (Olweus, 1993; Limber & Mihalic, 1999 as cited from Douglas J. Boyle, 2005). A survey was conducted in the United States estimating that over six million children, about 30% in grade six through ten have experienced frequent bullying in a school environment (Nansel, 2001 as cited from Douglas J. Boyle, 2005). Many people might debate that bullying is something that every child goes through and is simply a part of growing up, although there are several damaging consequences that happens to the child’s brain. Bullying causes the child to feel upset, isolated, frightened, anxious, and depressed. They feel like they reason they are being picked on is because there is something wrong with them and may even lose their confidence feel unsafe going to school (Frenette, 2013 as cited from Douglas J. Boyle, 2005) Anthropologically, sociologically, or psychologically, bullying can be analyzed through different perspectives and several questions can be asked based on the topic:

Mills’ framework introduced the notion that humans function as both individuals and as members of the larger social group context. Wright Mills is an individual's ability to recognize the connection between the course of their own lives and the role that historical and societal changes play in the personal decisions they make (Mills, 1959). Bullying does not have a standard definition. Bullying can be anything from calling someone else names, beating them up just for the fun of it, to texting or messaging them on the internet or any mobile device. Any person can be the victim of bullying, not just children. Bullying causes many issues, physically, emotionally, and mentally, not only for the victim, but for their entire families as well. Bullies have many different reasons as to why they start bullying someone else. The actions done to the victim leaves them with only a few options on how to stop being bullied. How they handle it is always different.
It only takes one bad experience to change your opinion on something. Imagine if you went through this same bad experience for months, or better yet years. Your whole personality, how you view yourself, and others changes drastically. This is what it feels like to be bullied. Bullying is a serious issue in America, especially among children and young adults. From kindergarten all the way up until my sophomore year of high school, I was a victim of bullying. Being bullied changed how I viewed myself and others, what my values and morals were, and it shaped me into the person I am today.
