Recommended: Kids taking competitive sports young

The end of elementary school was definitely when the awkward phase began. I seemed to be abnormally taller than all of my friends and pretty much my entire class. At this point I had lost all of my baby teeth, and I was left with some terribly crooked bunny teeth. During sixth grade, I ended up getting braces in the spring o and having them for nearly three years. Needless to say it was a rough time. During this time, I was also getting well acquainted with the idea of glasses. I started off my only needing them during school, but by the end of sixth grade I was wearing them all the time. I was very active in sports during elementary school. I mainly played basketball and volleyball, however, I did play soccer and t-ball for a few seasons.
